Works much better than i thought it would

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is a wonderful idea. It's pretty simple, it deposits purple tones into brassy hair to neutralize and cause a blonding effect. My only issue is it's temporary... also that it says "flammable" on the bottle. I realized though that maybe they mean just in the bottle since it's compressed because I did blow-dry my hair with it in and it was fine. I like that it doesn't smell bad at all and it makes your hair still pretty soft. It does seem to dry it out just slightly but it does enhance the blonde. It doesn't last though and once you wash, it's back to brassy but this is a great product to have on hand if you're a blonde.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have colored hair to cover my grays, my natural color is blonde so I dye blonde over the gray and that can sometimes leave a brassiness or too much yellow! Also at times when the blonde is growing out & the gray is peeking back it can also look to bright. This is a quick & easy solution to tone that down & warm the color back up! It's a nice lilac colored mousse that I apply to my damp hair & comb through, that's it! It makes a nice difference but isn't noticeable nor does it leave any purple hues. The best thing is is doesn't leave my thin, fine hair sticky or textured at all, no heaviness. This is a great product to have on hand and use as you need it1

I can't believe that such an amazing brand has made products for helping maintain and keep violet or purple hair vibrant. It is a purple mouse that helps deposit color to get rid of the brassy tones that comes very quickly with trying to have this shade of hair. It also is very nourishing to my chemical treated hair. It helps give volume and detangle and hydrates which are all just added bonuses to its true purpose of helping deposit color to cut down on brassy hair color. This product is a must buy for anyone who is wanting to join the purple unicorns if you want your purple to be vibrant abs last.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to receive and review this product! Application was easy, just like applying regular mousse. I love how it neutralized the brassiness of my blonde hair, it left it beautifully neutral, slightly ashy blonde. I do have areas where I'm slowly turning gray and even those areas ended up looking fantastic (although with a slight pale lilac hint). It held the style very nicely throughout the day but I did feel like I had to wash my hair the next day as it felt a bit heavier than usual. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with brassy tones in their hair and plan to repurchase once this one is empty.

Awesome for Blondes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have natural black hair and have gone blonde over the years. I'm not platinum almost grey blonde. Keeping my hair not brassy is super difficult and I've tried several products on the market to help combat that. Lots have worked, but I've never had a foam thats purple that's not only leave in, but helps neutralize my hair. Not only is this product amazing, it smells great and I can see a difference almost immediately! After using purple shampoo and conditioner, I apply this after shower and let my hair air dry a little. I then blow dry my hair on cool and style and it's worked wonders. I'm buying this from now on to help with keeping my blonde actually blonde. Highly recommended.

After about 4 weeks my color would start to lose its luster, become brassy and dull. I started using Redken Color Extend Blondage Toning Foam Mousse and I no longer have that issue! My hair stays the perfect tone of blonde from the day I leave the salon until 8 weeks when I go back. My hair is so vibrant and has the cool shade of blonde I want. Not that it looks but but I just prefer the bright light blonde . I love this foam because it works very subtly and it brightens up your hair. Directions were very easy to understand . I would buy this in stores if I saw it available. I'm very thankful to redkin and bzz agent for allowing me to try it because it is a good product . I think this would be nice for someone that maybe doesn't want to use the full blown purple shampoo . You could use it as much or as little as you want . Thank you !

Toning with style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Redken products, so I was excited to try this product, especially since my bleached blonde hair gets yellowed so quickly. I am used to using purple shampoos that normally dry out my hair, so I was interested to see how a styling product would manage. It has a pleasant smell and I was pleasantly surprised that my hair didn't feel dry after use, but definitely seemed more ashy. It was also extremely convenient to have a mousse that deposits color, as well as styles my hair, since I feel like it will help keep my ash tone longer with use. Overall I would recommend this product.

Good for toning blonde highlights

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the mousse consistency and ease of depositing the toning mousse at the roots. The foam smells amazing too. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the drying factor. I feel it made my hair stiff and crunchy when used alone. If you use this foam with a leave in conditioning product or heat styling spray it makes brushing and styling easier. For my color treated and somewhat damaged hair this isn't a stand alone product, like a typical mousse. The point though is the toning - so I give it 4 stars because it did brighten my blonde highlights after one use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't typically use mousse in my hair but I found this to be a quick and easy way to remove brassiness from my hair. I have blonde hair and I regularly have to use purple products to help remove brassiness. This mousse smelled SO GOOD and I liked how easy it was to use. I just put it on wet hair after getting out of the shower, brushed it through, and VOILA! This is a great product to use when you don't have purple products on stand-by or you can combine it with purple shampoo/conditioner for maximum results. My hair is noticeably less brassy and looks much better!

The foam applies just like any other mousse and soaks nicely into damp hair. As far as toning, I didn't notice anything right away, but with continued use I noticed my super brassy hair become toned and less orange-y. I like the super simple application and there's no waiting around for it to set in the shower, making it quick and easy to maintain the blonde you have or manage brassiness. I received this complimentary and all thoughts are my own.

Great for last minute touch ups

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great if you need a quick fix to tone your hair in a hurry. I normally don't use hair spray, mousse or styling products so this did make my hair feel different after drying since you put this in with damp hair but after a day of washing it was back to normal. I will say my hair was noticeably less brassy after using it. Try not to use too much or it will turn your hair purple, it lasted me about a week or two before having to do it again. But I also only use normal shampoo and wash my hair everyday. 4 out of 5 stars for not having to go to the salon!

Gets rid of the brassy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This purple mousse does what it is supposed to do and gets rid of the brassyness. I was about to color my hair when I first received this product so it was perfect timing to try this before my color. And I will say it brought a nice shine and lightness to my hair and got rid of the brassy.
Being a natural blonde and very thin hair, I will say I need just a little more lift and texture in my mousse, and I'm not too sure that this provides that for me. It does give a very soft and relaxed look if that is what you seek. I myself need more volume and that is not quite there for me with this product. So what I have been doing is using this with a little bit of my other mousse and the combination gives me volume and brightness in color.

Goodbye Ugly Yellow Brass Color!!

I have hard water which wreaks havoc on my blonde and after leaving the salon I find my blonde will be super dull and start to get that ugly bright yellow brassy look that blonde tends to get! After using this foam JUST ONE TIME I noticed an extreme difference and my blonde came back to life and gave it the prettiest bleached tone! If you use it in conjunction with Redken's purple shampoo then the results are even better! I'll never be without this product as long as I'm rockin blonde hair!!

I've been getting balayage for almost 3 years now and my hair tends to get brassy since it's naturally so dark. I constantly use purple shampoo and get it toned periodically. I was so excited to receive this and see if it actually works and it does! I've never seen a product like this before. I love the scent and it doesn't feel like there's build up in my hair like most foam/mousse products give me. It is very lightweight and it actually helped with the brassiness! Of course it didn't give me a dramatic change like going into the salon and getting my hair toned. But it gave me a slight change that I would definitely keep using this and would purchase in the future! It is definitely part of my hair care routine now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a lot of purple shampoos/hair products in the past few years because I have EXTREMELY hard water and almost instantly my hair will get brassy if I don't.
I have to say, while Redken isn't cruelty free (which I have been trying to switch my beauty products over to), it definitely works! I have 3b/c type curls and have been doing a modified CGM for the past 2 years, this mousse didn't make my hair overly dried out or crunchy. It didn't make my hair sticky or gross to the touch like the last purple mousse I used, it leaves hair a beautiful shade of blonde, while also leaving my curls soft and bouncy. No crunchy or crispy curls for me! I HIGHLY recommend, 8/10.
Now if only Redken could make sustainable packaging and be cruelty free, they'd be absolutely perfect!

I've been testing out this product that I received and I love it. It tones my blonde to a beautiful ashy color without making it feel dry and brittle. It also doesn't weigh my hair down and make it feel greasy. It's also super easy to use. I will be purchasing this when I run out of my sample.

This product does great for toning hair and getting brassiness out of the hair! It doesn't dry up your hair like other purple products. It supposed to MAINTAIN you already cool tone blond hair so it would not turn brassy and it works really well. This hair foam is honestly one of the best i have EVER used! I'm naturally a dark strawberry blond and the blonde highlights in my hair seem to get yellowed and a bit brassy over time. I have thick, long, highlighted blonde hair and only needed a small amount to see results. I ran it through my hair from root to tip. Not to mention it tones my brassy tones from my mineral filled hard water and keeps my highlights looking fresh and soft blonde. I love that you barely need any foam for it to do the job, and it doesn't weigh your hair down. I can put it in throughout my hair without it feeling sticky and run brushes and combs through it while blow-drying my hair and it feels invisible on or in my hair. The only thing I dislike is that if you do use too much of this product or too often it can make your hair look a bit ashy looking. As long as you don't use it daily and too much of it if you want blonder blondes it's totally fine. If you like that ashy look then this would be just fine to use daily or more of it throughout your hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mousse was a big "meh" for me. It smelled nice and my hair was soft after applying, but it didn't change my hair tone at all. I will note that I have naturally blonde hair. I've been told by hair stylists that natural blonde hair has very fine, non-porous strands which don't absorb color. My hair has never held color of any kind, temporary or permanent. So I assume that's why this product didn't work for me. If you bleach your hair, this product would probably work much better for you.

The foam is easy to dispense, distributes evenly into the hair, and truly brightens my hair within just one use. I do think it works best as a companion product to the shampoo and conditioner but I do think it holds up well on its own as well. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to maintain their bright blonde locks!

My curls look gorgeous and stay in place all day. I also love how it keeps my bleached blond hair from looking yellow and brassy. Recently I went from dark almost black hair to platinum blond and I like to use shampoos and conditioners that help keep the yellow and orange tones out of my hair. It was easy to use and the outcome was FABULOUS. The first time I tried it, my husband asked me if I got my hair done that day. That's how great it looked. My only complaint is, there is soooo much information on the back, it is really too hard to read, especially for someone looking for directions. But the product.....you won't have to go to the salon again (except for cuts).

I received this product and used it and the yellow brassiness of my hair tuned down and looked so pretty. I finally was happy with my color and really love this toning mousse. It's Violet in color, foams up nice and tones brassiness upon adding it. I am in love with this product and will definitely repurchase when I run out. My hair dried very nice with a ton of volume.

It doesn't add volume, help style my hair, or anything else you usually want out of a mouse. Additionally, I don't think it's really necessary to do the purple toning daily. On the plus side, this wasn't a sticky or heavy product like a lot of mouse is. Is it helpful? Sure. Could a shampoo a few times a week do the same thing? Probably.

I love the way the color looks in the beginning, but inevitably the blonde turns brassy. The color extend blondage toning mousse is very moisturizing and counteracts all brassiness leaving hair looking warm and well toned. It's very lightweight and smells really nice. The fragrance is nice, and not overwhelming. I did wonder if the foam would be drying to my hair, and it might have been. It would be nice if the foam was moisturizing-- those of us with bleached blonde hair are likely already dealing with dry ends.
All in all, this is a nice way to add color, but I prefer to use a toning moisturizer/gloss in the shower.

It did kind of leave a purple hint to my hair but not a lot. I will definitely repurchase this. I would definitely recommend this to any blonde. I will say that it did actually leave my hair with a little bit of a weird texture towards my scalp but that didnt stop me from keeping this hair style for three days. I would most definitely recommend it.

I find the directions on the can are difficult to read - font is too small/cramped. I was trying to read carefully when I first used it as I didn't want to ruin my hair. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a licensed hairstylist for a little over a decade and I have tried a lot of toning mousse in my day and I have to say this one is superior. I did not expect the results I got, I expected minimal toning, but this looked like I had just done an actual toning service on my hair, and the fact that it's a leave-in is fantastic because the entire process only takes the length of a blow-dry. I will definitely be re-purchasing and recommending this!

Good for blondes. Not for gray/white

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in the mail and was excited to try it. My mom was in town so she wanted to try it out too.
It was good on my hair. I'm a dark blonde. My mom is gray and blonde, and it ended up showing a lot of purple in her hair. I'm not sure if she used too much or what, but in sunlight her hair was quite purple.
I didn't have that problem and would use again when I'm going to blow out my hair. I haven't tried it when I just keep my hair curly.

Great refresher for in-between hair appointments!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used color adjusting shampoo for many years. Foam was new to me. I liked that it didn't leave any purple residue on my hands! It had a faint but pleasant smell (some shampoos aren't so pleasant...). The instructions said to just use a little but I felt like I needed a bit more to cover roots to end. The first time I used it, I noticed a little residue after styling but it went away not long after and didn't remain, even the next day.
