HOW TO USE
Apply to wet hair. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes (depending on your desired end result). Rinse well. Redken recommends swapping the Redken Blondage Conditioner with the new Redken d Blondage Express Anti-Brass Mask once a week or more, as needed to neutralize brass and maintain a bright, cool blonde tone.

My stylist recommended this after I spent a lot of money on a new look! To my dismay, I was disappointed. I have tried a lot of purple shampoos, and this is one of the worst. I tried it in many different ways, usually in the shower after shampooing, leaving it in for 5-10 mins. After that didn’t seem to do anything, I used like half the bottle tonight on damp/mostly dry hair, leaving it on for 20 whole mins. NOTHING. It didn’t change a thing. If anything, it made it even brassier. Hoping for a refund or something because this was bad. I’m better off buying “cheaper quality” purple shampoo that actually works great for half the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have naturally darkest brown/black hair that I bleach to a platinum blonde. Generally, it takes two bleaching sessions to get to the level of lightness I want and in the meantime while I let my hair rest, it is an unflattering orange color.
This mask did a great job of toning down orange to a straw yellow. I didn't have enough patience to leave it on the 5-10 minutes as stated, and it still made a noticeable result.
I deducted one star for the ingredients I tend to avoid, silicones and mineral oil, and also for the powdery soap scent. I would still purchase and use this product though. I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion.

A nice routine staple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a big believer/fan in hair masks. I try to do one every once in a while, to restore nutrients into my hair. I usually use a spray leave in conditioner on a day-to-day basis. But every once in a while, a girl has got to have a mini cheap spa night. Having a mask in that little mix is always a win-win. I liked this mask a lot because of the nice toning effects - although minimal - and it had a high-quality feel and scent to it that I enjoyed. I will say that out of the options you have for toner/ toner type masks or hair masks generally speaking this one was not one of the better ones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all when they say wear gloves when applying, they really mean it! My nails were stained purple after applying the shampoo. And it was hard to get it out of my tub even though I wiped it out right away after what happened to my hands! 😱 Combine that with the overbearingly potent scent and my first impression was not great.
As far as taking the brassiness out of my hair, it was very disappointing and possibly not even needed. One use resulted in my golden blonde looking ashy and slightly grey. It did calm down after a few washes but sheesh! I was a little worried at first and will not use this again.
I personally would not recommend using this product unless your stylist recommends it.

I bought this because I’ve been transitioning from red to blonde for the past year and my hair is mostly blonde now with a tinge of red at the root. To maintain the blonde I thought this would be good to revive my colour and make it look nice until my next colour but it turned the blonde parts of my hair purple! And when I tried to wash it out again it only faded slightly but still remained a purple hue! I put it on for the recommended 10 minutes so I have no idea why it did this. Don’t buy this there’s plenty of other masks to maintain blonde hair that don’t cause it to turn purple ☹️

I personally haven't experienced the green hair with my blonde hair but have noticed the dull appearance. I try to shower after swimming and seems to help keeping it from turning green if blonde hair does that. I wanted a good purple shampoo to keep up the blonde highlights I've added in and bring my hair to a shiny state.
This purple mask is easy to apply. Massage into hair and let It sit for about 10 mins. Then wash. It leaves hair nice and refreshed. I try to do this mask once a week, I do not notice my hair having a brassy look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in return for my honest review, and it is a must addition to my hair regimen. I can only get my blonde this bright and shiny right after leaving the salon. However, the Redken blonde hair mask is now making it possible to achieve salon worthy hair from home! This softens my dry hair as it also brightens, not much of a smell to the product which is a bonus. Be very careful when using, as it is a little messy and a really deep purple color, I did create a bit of a mess in my shower the first time I used it, but nothing a little cleaner couldn't fix. Also make sure to rinse very well, so there isn't any purple dye left on your scalp. I only use this once at week at most, but it really works!

Great hair mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hairmask worked great and it is very pigmented. Smells soft and wonderful as well. My only issue with it is soley based on convenience. Directions recommed after shampooing, towel dry hair, wearing gloves apply to hair and comb to evenly distribute. Then wait around for 5-10 minutes then rinse out. For me, I usually don't have a lot of time to spare and when i'm in the shower, I'm trying to get it all done and out in a shot time. I would only be able to use this mask very sparingly given that I would have to get in the shower, shampoo, hop out, towel dry hair, apply mask, let sit up to 10mins, then get back in the shower and finish up. Overall the mask itself is great, it's the time needed that I dont always have.

Definitely helps with brassiness

I left it in for the full ten minutes as I have quite a bit of brassiness in my hair, due to my recent dye job being about 3 weeks old. This is definitely the next best thing to a brand new bottle of hair dye, or a trip to the salon. I found it brought down the brassiness quite a bit more than I had expected it to. It took out most of the orange and bright yellow that had developed, and left the nice, cool blonde color that I had originally used on my hair. I was very happy with it. It had a great scent and didn't leave any purple stains on my hands or the sink. I would recommend this to anyone looking to keep their blonde hair looking fresh and toned down.

I was scared the first time because it is so dark purple I wasn't sure if it would stain my hat my skin in the tub but it didn't. What it did do was neutralize the brassiness that was in my hair from highlighting and from the Sun. Over the summer the chlorine from swimming pools also took a toll on it and i could not wait to try the Redken Extend Blondage Anti-Brass shampoo! I used it as directed on the bottle and i am so impressed at how it made my hair look so vinrant! It removed so much of the brass color my hair looks the way it should have before it got so damaged! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely one of, if not the best, purple (anti-brass) treatments/shampoos that I've ever used. There's a noticeable difference every time I use it. It's also not super drying like a lot of the other anti-brass products around. The only thing that I wish was different is that they added protein to the ingredients. After a bad experience with a stylist and bleaching, my hair is super protien sensitive. Especially to wheat protien, which is what's in this so I can't use it like I'd like to. Otherwise, it would be perfect for me. Most people won't have that issue so it's fine, but I wish more hair product brands would consider that not everything needs protien in it. If you're looking for an anti-brass treatment that's great all around, then look no farther.

To start, the scent of the product, which is one of my biggest purchase points, is sooo nice. The container is easy to open and dispense the product, and I love the purple! It's unique and fun! The instruction on how to use this is clear, and easy! I've done a Mask now 3 times since I received the product, and I love the results. It's definitely helping to maintain my blond hair, in its blond state, keeping away the brassiness. I will definitely purchase this after I use up what I have left. Brighter highlights and insane hydration! Love it!

Just in case, my hair is fine, base level 8, and my highlights are level 9-10. I shampooed my hair, towel dried, and applied the mask evenly, left it for 5 minutes just to be safe for first time, rinsed it completely with cold water and the results are AMAZING! My highlights look brighter, and my hair feels SO hydrated, soft, and silky after blow dry!
(No purple stains, the mask is very hydrating)
Definitely recommend!
Next time I'II leave the mask for 5-10 minutes, focusing more on highlight rather than whole head.

I'm no stranger to high-lights or brass, but I was not aware of this mask from Redken. The directions say to shampoo, apply, and if you only want a little toning leave it on 5 minutes and if you want maximum toning, ten minutes. I HATE brass! I left it on ten minutes. I loved the results. My natural hair color pops and my high-lights look fresh! I would highly recommend this mask.

I was a little skeptical because of that, that it wouldn't work with that little of blonde. I've just noticed my highlights starting to fade and bummed because it wasn't too long ago that I just got them done. After doing one mask and letting my hair dry, crazy and oddly enough, my highlights looked a lot more radiant and my friend even thought I just got my hair done! I am now a believer in purple shampoo :)

It put so much moisture back into my hair and took all of the yellow color out. I use the shampoo and conditioner along with this mask and there's not a better trio! This review is for the NEW FORMULA Redken color extend blondage Vb hair mask. All I can say is wow!!! It only takes ten minutes to get wonderful results from this. I have tried other purple shampoos and conditioners in the past and they don't do what this does. It got rid of all my gold brassiness and left my hair with the frosty white blonde highlights that i love!!! I highly reccommend this toning mask because it does even what my hairdresser cannot do. It makes me happy with my hair now!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried plenty of purple masks after having platinum blonde hair for several years. This one takes the cake with it being the most pigmented. It did turn my hair a purple hue. I personally don't mind it. It fades after a few washes with regular shampoo/conditioner. I will maybe use it 1- 2 times max inbetween having my hair /roots bleached as I feel the shampoo/conditioner duo would suffice for me. I'd say if your hair turns brassy/gold after bleaching this could work well for you.

My hair is quite coarse and brittle but after using this mask for approximately 5 mins, my hair is much smoother. I have medium-dark blonde hair so did not see much of a change in color. The mask is much better than other hair masks I've tried; it gives more immediate results in less time. The smell is pleasant, not overpowering. Overall I would use again, simply because of the way it made my hair feel.

I really liked this i’ve been leaning more towards purple masks instead of shampoos cause i notice they dry my hair out. But this is definitely my favorite i’ve used so far it really did tone my brassiness and it didn’t leave purple streaks. The only issue i have with it was the smell. This Color Extend Blondage Mask is literally the best purple shampoo/ mask or conditioner I have ever used! Most of these products really dry your hair out in order to achieve any result, but this one revitalizes your hairs do repairs damage leaving it in better condition than before you used it.
My hair tends to get extremely brassy really fast and only has that bright blonde look straight from the salon. The purple hair mask and deep conditioner made my blonde hair brighter and cooler blonde in just 5 minutes.

I was so excited to for this mask. Who wouldn't? When we got it in at our salon we all tried it out and were all very disappointed. The overall pigment is not really there. There is more pigment in the standard blondage shampoo. That stains my hands where as this mask does not. One of our blonde stylists recently just refreshed her hair with a full foil. reached to a pain level 10. Used this to try and tone her hair and it did absolutely nothing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't always use the shampoo and conditioner for toning out the yellow because I like to use other shampoo sometimes but when I need a quick pick me up to bring the shininess and get the brassy out I use this after I use my regular shampoo it really hits your hair hard with the purple pigment. Which I like I don't mind a little purple being left in my hair as a matter of fact but it doesn't do that unless you leave it dry and put it on there.

I've never heard of an anti-brass mask until I tried Redken's Color Extend Blondage Express Ant-Brass Mask! Directions were simple, smell wasn't too powerful and I just kept it on while I did a face mask and shaved my legs. But wow! Later when I styled my hair, my blonde looked completely refreshed! Super impressed to say the least. I'm a fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have blonde highlights in my hair, and when I go to the pool I always like to wash with a line of products that eliminate that yellowish color left by chlorine. I liked the mask because it doesn't leave my hair hard like another one I've used. It's been a while since I had a line that smelled so delicious. The only thing I don't like is that my hands get stained. But I used makeup remover soap and everything was removed from my hands.

I tried the Redken Blondage expecting to see a drastic, more blonde distinction in my highlights. I don't see any difference. I followed the instructions and left it on my hair for 10 minutes. Once I washed it out in the shower my hair felt really dry and I had to use conditioner. I had my husband take before and after pictures and I feel my hair looks even darker!

It sure helped mine. It's very simple to use. You will get a lot of uses out of one bottle. Much easier and affordable to use this instead of going to a stylist to get your blond toned down. I love the color of my blond now. I would definitely recommend this to anyone having these issues.

I have naturally brunette hair that is colored blonde professionally, which means my hair at some point always turns a brassy color! After using this product my hair turns from brassy to beautiful ashy (which is what I like!) The mask makes my hair look shiny and healthy as well. I will absolutely recommend this product to friends!

Not too impressed with the hair mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not used a purple toning hair mask in the past but I was not too thrilled with this mask. I did not like how the mask left my hair feeling after rinsing out, almost a filmy type texture left over after rinsing thoroughly. As for the effects of a hair mask, I did not like the consistency and was not impressed and will continue to purchase my tried and true mask. However, I did like the matching shampoo and conditioner.

My hair gets so yellow and warm toned and it really just took those warm tones out, creating such a nice cool tone shade without turning my hair purple. I blow dried my hair with heat protectant after and my hair feels so soft. I will definitely be using this mask over and over again in between bleach & tones. So happy with this.

Color Extend Blondage express anti-brass mask is a game changer. Reading reviews from 3-6 months ago make me think they were using something else or Redken changed the formula now. It smells great, very easy to apply due to the thickness, rinses out easily, and removes the brassiness. It is like Redken Shades on steroids. After blow drying my hair it looked like I just came back from the salon and did so for 3 days.
