I have used Redkin Guts10 for many years. I have straight hair but no volume. Have loved the product. One issue I have is the spray tip and propellant in the can stop working. I’m constantly trying to clean the tip to get it to work. I sure hope the new version is as good.

I have used Guts for years and love this product but was very disappointed in my last purchase as I am unable to spray this any longer. My dispenser is only halfway used. Can you help me out with a solution to get my product to work again??

Big hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a moose that is supposed to give your hair volume. It did exactly that! I applied it to my damp hair and as i was doing a blowout I could see how big and fuller my hair looked. I will say that there is some kind of hold because the brush was catching on some dry areas where previously sprayed. I will say that the only negative thing is how it is applied. It's a moose that sprays from a noozle, however the noozle gets clogged after a single use. The directions say to spray at the roots but it's a little hard to spray. Would be easier in a traditional moose bottle. Thanks Redken for my free sample!

Could use some more oomph

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free for my honest opinion. I have very fine hair so volume is something I'm always trying to achieve. I had high hopes for this product but it fell a bit flat. It's easy to use.....you just spray it on and then style and blow dry. The instructions say to spray directly on the roots but I found it got more volume by spraying on my hands and then working it in. It did give me some extra volume but not as much as I've achieved from other products. I think it would work better on not as fine hair.

Works pretty well, a little tricky to apply

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really strange product for me, and it was sort of hard to get a handle on how to use it. It's a spray mousse, so almost looks like silly string. The best way I found to apply is lifting sections of my hair and doing a quick spritz at the roots, then massaging it in. It gave me pretty good volume, but I think it made my fine hair heavier the next day. I'll stick to a liquid spray volumizer for my fine hair, but this would probably work well for other hair types.

I also used this product as more of a traditional hair spray and it really locked in and held my fly-a-ways. I will continue using my sample to keep developing an opinion on the product, but I'm considering making this a duo multiple purpose go to when styling my hair. It works great at giving and holding volume but it also works well as a simple strong hold hair spray.

Surprisingly effective

The spray works well and the foam is light and easy to work with. It did give my roots some lift that lasted all day but I would not call it super strength by an means. Just a nice, subtle lift to the roots. Again, as with most aerosol products - the smell is fine. It's just the same smell all the aerosol product have. So easy to use and effective.

Its also not too over the top either which is nice, I don't want my hair to be super poofy. But it helps just give it that extra boost it needs to not be so flat. I do love the smell too which helps, a good smelling product is the way to my heart! Helps create the perfect blow out, too! 10/10

I tried it out on half of her head first to be sure we could see if there was a noticeable difference. There was for sure. I wish she would've given me permission to post her photo. I liked the large bottle, the only part that could use improvement is the way the product sprays out. It was a foam, and sprayed out very direct and was hard to get a wide span of product in an area, instead it was very directed at one spot.

Even when i rub it in or comb it out, it still leaves a residue which is quite annoying. I will say it does add volume and it has a great scent, but i just don't know if i can get past the mess it leaves.

Perfect for my thin hair

Apply to damp hair style as usual and I combed mine up a little at the roots as I dried my hair and it lifted great. You can still straighten ur hair or how ever you like. However the residue on my scalp was itchy and irritated within the first day on each use, despite trying to keep as much product away from my scalp as I could. I instantly noticed the volume when blow drying my hair. A little goes far so do not over spray or you may need to wash your hair again to start over.

I've used this wet or dry and then apply heat from the hair dryer. You definitely get lasting lift from it with no build up. It even works on longer hair.
