Hair Cleansing Cream Clarifying Shampoo

I had some stubborn purple semi-permanent color that needed to get bleached out before the next color service. My usual shampoo wouldn't wash any more of it out. I used the cleansing cream in place of my normal shampoo and my suds were BRIGHT purple. I ended up able to skip the bleach. Only 4 stars because I expected it to be way more moisturizing, considering the name and how it comes in a bottle like their conditioners. I did a deep conditioner afterward (All Soft deep conditioner) and my hair was extremely soft and felt very clean. Maybe a once every couple of weeks treatment to get product buildup out, but definitely not a daily-use product, especially if you have color-treated hair.

I live in the country and have very hard, well water. I've tried just about everything to get my hair "clean". The Hair Cleansing Cream is by far the best clarifying product I've ever used. I recommend this product to anyone with hard well water. The convenience of the "wash and go", is so much better than going to a salon for a hard water treatment. A little bit goes a long way! I usually wash my hair twice, when I use this product I will wash once with my daily shampoo, then with HCC; not that you have too, Ijust do it because it makes it last longer. LOL I will also let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing and follow with a good conditioning mask. I love how my hair feels and looks so healthy afterwards. Definitely worth the money!

I have the following conditions: Oily roots Well water Color treated hair Dry, damaged hair I used this per the instructions and noticed an immediate difference. I followed with a silicone free shampoo and conditioner. The oil was removed and metals were stripped from my hair! My blonde no longer looked rusty. I was able to not wash my hair for 4 days and it still looked good. I could only go 1 day before! I plan to use this at least 1x month or as needed. Impressed after just 1 use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the Redken hair products, i use them for many years, i have chemical treated hair that i also dyed, so i try to use products that help with the moisture and dryness of my hair, so this shampoo works wonders in my hair I tested for about 3 weeks and the improvement in the appearance of my hair is noticeable, it looks healthy and soft, it leaves the fair very clean but manageable, after i use a hair mask and I can tell how different my hair looks in just few uses, i really love this product and i will continue to repurchase!

I have super naturally greasy hair, so I use this shampoo every time I wash my hair which is maybe 2 to 3 times a week. The longer I use this shampoo, the longer my hair will last with dry shampoo. I’m never afraid to add too much dry shampoo because I know this cleansing cream will get it all out when it’s time. It lathers super, super well so it’s easier to get a super deep cleanse. I follow up with the Redken All Soft conditioner, and my hair feels amazing for the next few days. I definitely recommend!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to give this product a fair review so I used it twice. After using it I can say that I do enjoy the product overall. My hair felt very soft after use but it also felt very frizzy and dry. The scent of the shampoo is citrus and isn't offensive in any way. I have issues with hard water where I live so I was looking for something that I can use to help remove that excess mineral buildup and this has definitely helped. I feel like this is a great shampoo to use and alternate with your regular shampoo.

This product was used on me the last time I went in for a blowout and it changed everything for me. My hair was GORGEOUS. It was shiny, bouncy, and looked so incredibly healthy! I wash my hair about twice a week and I use this each time (purchased in October and still have half of it left), and I get the exact same results at home. My hair is red and naturally curly, and I haven’t been happier with it in my life!

Nice smell, leaves my hair soft and does seem to clean well. The reason for the average review is because I did not think, especially for the price tag, that this shampoo provided anything better than more budget-friendly alternatives. My hair was no more manageable; I did not notice any special "cleansing" properties. Overall, I am happy to use it but would not keep it as part of my rotation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I tell you that this product completely changed my hair... I was so incredibly happy. I've used Redken products before and I think this was the only line that I hadn't used yet. Anyway, I've always had some build up, itchy scalp, and oily hair after day two, and I feel like I've I tried almost everything and anything and nothing worked! The shampoo transformed my hair just after one wash, and my hair went from being extra oily to smooth, shiny, and grease free for DAYS. It does recommend you leave the shampoo on your scalp for a few min for build up, and I would definitely recommend doing so because it felt so refreshing and revitalizing on my scalp. Almost like it could breathe again. Long story short, 10 out of 10 would recommend! I also have medium dark brown length hair, wavy, with highlights!

With this, I don't feel that I necessarily need to do the "repeat" and my hair feels soft after just shampooing (I still condition though). My scalp feels fresh without feeling aggressively over washed. I use about a dime to quarter sized amount of product and that seems to really get the job done! This has become my once every two week shampoo (I wash once a week) to clean any build up from product I might have!

I have naturally curly hair and I'm usually very cautious about any clarifying products as they constrict my curl, and I can end up having to use several hydration masks to make up for it. This is gentle enough to use every day and did not strip my curl or weigh it down. My scalp feels cleaner, and my hair looks overall healthier. I love this stuff!

Recently, I decided to try this cleanser before applying color conditioner to see if I could get more vibrancy out of one application. The cleanser removed all of the build up from my curls, the color was more vibrant after color conditioning, and my curls seemed more "springy." I would not use it for every wash day because it really works.

(I use Artic Fox semi-permanent color). I will have to reapply some color after 3 uses, where I don't normally have to really that often. I would totally continue to use this if it didn't take my color out. I didn't have to use a hair mask after my showers (which would cut back on costs), as it did thr job all by itself!

When I massage this shampoo into my hair, it creates an incredibly pleasant foam that feels like a gentle touch to the hair. The fragrance also deserves a special mention - fresh and pleasant, it creates a feeling of relaxation and comfort during use. My hair looks healthy, shiny and light after application, which makes this shampoo an integral part of my regular hair care.

I had spent a lot of time in the pool and had buildup because I have platinum hair and loaded my strands with conditioner several days in a row to help keep it from getting damaged from the chlorine from swimming 5 days in a row, I needed something to reset my baseline for healthy hair. I used this with the purple mask treatment and baby my hair looked like I had just left the salon!

I use a lot of dry shampoo and treatments for my dry scalp, so I like to use a clarifying shampoo every couple of weeks to get rid of any build up. It smells really fresh and leaves your hair feeling clean without being stripped. I also love that a little bit goes a long way with this shampoo, so it will last me awhile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, this isn't my first rodeo with Cleansing shampoos and I appreciate Redkin allowing me to try this one for free in exchange for my honest review! I seem to have now collected three different levels of cleansing - one that kinda cleanses, one that gets out most of the gunk and this Cleansing Hair Cream Shampoo. The firs time I tried this, I left it on my hair for about two minutes and boy oh boy, squeaky clean. And it really removed all of the build up and may have gone a smidge further than I would have liked with my hair as it felt a touch dry. To be fair to the shampoo, I used it with no conditioner to see how it performed and squeaky clean! If my hair feels like it has too much oil or simply feels "dirty" this is the product I'm reaching for. Oh - and the lather! This stuff suds up AMAZING! Bubbles that simply won't quit. Great product, just ensure you use something to moisturize the ends of your hair after.

I used these product about a week apart and did not care for the results. It didn't feel cleansed. My hair felt like straw. I assume it's because it took too much. I was hoping for a different end result. I won't use it again.

Even when I lather well and do it consistently, nothing. This product does work, you do not need much, just follow the instructions. I'm so happy with this cleansing cream. I do recommend a moisturizing product after your shower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Redken and this Hair cleansing cream shampoo is the best option to deeply clean my hair. The first time I tried this shampoo was after being outside on a hot day and my hair was disgusting. It cleaned very well without drying it out. The feeling after using is deep clean hair and scalp. The product has an excellent quality and a little goes a long way. It doesn't have an overwhelming smell and the bottle is easy to use. I also tried it before using hair masks, and I felt it helped my hair to absorb the products better. I have bleached and damaged blond hair and this shampoo keeps my hair clean longer than any other product. Since I've started using this, I can go two days without using a little bit of dry shampoo. I will definitely buy over and over again and I recommend to everyone who has oily hair or wants a good shampoo to clean your hair before any treatment.  Redken kindly gave me this Hair Cleansing Cream Shampoo for free so that I could review it.

My hair started to fall out and break a bit more. My son who is 16 and has very oily hair tried this as well. It worked great for him and he said if you have very oily hair this might be great for you!

I didn't realize any different in my hair. I did notice my curls seemed to come out more after air drying. Would love to try this with the matching conditioner and see if it makes a difference .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally use Tressa clarifying shampoo when I need a good deep hair clean, but I can only get it at one salon near me, and it's not conveniently close. This redken cleansing cream works just as well and is a lot easier to find. Win win! You won't regret getting this for a clarifying shampoo.

This is my favorite clarifying shampoo! I use it monthly to get a deep clean, but I only use on my roots to avoid drying out my ends. I did once misuse a toner and my highlighted ends became green from an overly ashy toner, I used this on my ends to remove the green. Phew, a real life saver!

I love how clean my hair feels after using this shampoo. It almost literally feels squeaky clean. It's lighter, and smells great. I will continue to buy this as my clarifying shampoo.

I definitely will be using this every few weeks to remove product build up from my hair and then doing a deep condition mask. I was surprised that the cream created suds as well as it did. The smell is pleasant and not over powering.

BUT the next day my scalp felt so itchy. I'm not sure if I had an allergic reaction or what. I do have a sensitive dry scalp. I would encourage people to do a patch test.

It is the best cleansing shampoo I've ever tried. My hair felt squeaky clean, with no product buildup. Probably not for everyday use, but great for a cleanse every week or so.

My mom used this when we had well water 30+ years. I have loved it ever since. Hasn’t ruined my color and hair feels wonderful. After taking an “economical” break I could finally afford it; I swear it was bubbling on my scalp getting rid of all the grime. I love, love, love it!
