Terrible customer service, and terrible product

I purchased and used a few months consecutively . I started noticing ungodly amounts of hair falling out. Worse than postpartum hair loss. I sent photos to redken, and the few people I spoke too were magically disconnected for the first few days, and the lady I finally talked to when I was at my salon slammed was SO accusatory and rude. I tried to go directly to the source being a small business owner, and this shampoo a conditioner made half of my hair fall out. Once my doctor told me to stop using it because everything looked great with my labs, my hair magically decreased shedding. I have been SICK over this. I’m heavily involved in the beauty industry, and my instagram is @everydaylindseyrae and @brushedbylindseysalon. I’ll be documenting my journey of this product so no else has to live through this awfulness since Redken took zero accountability with my gut wrenching photos I sent them. I’m in my late 30’s and I had the best head of hair, competing in a pageant both Miss USA system recently and International. Never once have I ever had to wear extensions. I did on my wedding day thanks to this awful product.

My New Favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To begin I love the smell of this shampoo! It smells so fresh and clean! The second thing I love, is how my hair feels. My hair has never been so soft! I am three months postpartum and the texture of my hair has changed and I have begun to lose hair. This shampoo has helped my hair strands feel thicker, softer, and more elastic. I can honestly say I have seen less breakage and smoother ends since I first began using this shampoo! I have already purchased another set of shampoo and conditioner, because I do not want to run out! Love love love! I highly recommend for anyone trying to grow their hair, and are looking for a softer + shinier mane!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay so I’m not good at doing my own hair so I took my products to my hairstylist to use on me to get the full effect!!! First off the shampoo smells amazing!!! My hair took to it immediately! It lathered super well! I sweat a lot in my head because I work out a lot but she showed me how to work it into my hair and it had my hair feeling silky and my wave pattern started coming back through from all of the silk presses I’ve gotten over time! The biotin definitely made a difference and made my think hair feel thicker!!!! Finished result my hair feels great and the humidity and rain out side didn’t affect it!!! I’ll definitely be buying more!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other Redken products and I was so happy when I received the new Redken extreme length sampoorn and conditioner. Full points on the design of the bottles. Absolutely love the color and shape. Lately I’m winter I have been experiencing dry hair and scalp due to heat and hot shower which resulted on increased hair fall. After using this shampoo, I felt my hair become much smoother and shinier. My scalp felt less dry than before and I noticed my hair didn’t fall as much as I used to comb when I used other shampoos. I am satisfied with the results when I use both the sampoorn and conditioner together. Redken as always did not disappoint.

The very first time I followed up with a hair mask and the other three I followed up with the matching conditioner. I skipped one day of washing after the hair mask, but have washed my hair daily after that. (I normally wash my hair daily.) The shampoo has a nice lather. You don’t need much product either. I didn’t like the scent at first but it isn’t overpowering like some Redken products, and is now starting to grow on me. I also don’t think the scent is noticeable once my hair dries. I love the texture and feel of my hair since I started using this. This is a product I will continue using!

I love redken, and have been waiting to leave a review.
Back in July my hair stylist recommended this shampoo. My hair was to my waist and was wanting to see how long it could get, also super thick hair. After 1 month of this shampoo it broke my hair and I experienced severe hair loss. It is now January and my hair is finally starting to heal from this, my hair had to be cut to my shoulders. Super sad this happened to my beautiful hair and just use this product with precaution. Please know your hair. During that one month it was doing very well until it wasn’t. I would definitely have upload pictures but it wouldn’t let me.

Love this product!

I was excited to receive it as I am currently 1 year postpartum and struggling with the hair loss that comes with the birth of a child. While my regrowth is getting there, it was not fast enough for my liking. I have been using this product for a couple of weeks and have seen a tremendous change in my hair. It's silky smooth, and holds styling all day. I can go a couple days between washes with this, and that's great for any new mom! I can't completely attest to the growth aspect yet, but I do think it's helping my baby hairs get some added length.

I never write reviews (I know everyone always says that) but I just had to with this product range! I have always loved redken products and bought this as I want to grow my hair for my wedding. My hair is bleached and very dry and with one use of the system my hair feels like silk. I always invest in good quality salon products but nothing has come close to making my hair feel this soft and it doesn't weigh is down either! The smell is lovley and subtle which is a bonus. I can't comment on whether it help hair growth as it have only just began to use it but regardless its Still worth the money!

Then I used Redken Extreme Length with Biotin for 7 days. There was clearly a difference between the 2. It was so light while washing and it rinsed so cleanly. You can feel the clean in your hair. My hair felt and looked so light. You only have to use a little bit. It has a wonderful smell that's not overpowering. Although it costs more, the amount that you use will last a good bit of time. The result you get is so worth it. I definitely recommend Redken Extreme Length With Biotin shampoo.

I've used a few Redken leave in product in the past and my experience was hit or miss so it put me off. I'm trying other Redken products. however, trying this entire line, I had an amazing experience, and this has become my new favorite. The bottle is small, clear and aesthetic and fits perfectly on my shower caddy holder. A little goes a long way with the shampoo, and it lathers well. Smells good and leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, smelling good and smooth. In terms of the bio tin helping hair grow, I haven't noticed any faster growth, but I have noticed in my hair has stopped falling out significantly.

Stronger & Healthier Hair

In just 3 uses of Redken's Extreme Lengths w/Biotin, I've seen less breakage, less fallout, and most noticeably, less split ends. My hair is shiny, and so much better looking! Us, after the first use, I noticed how much cleaner and lighter my hair felt. It had gotten off much of that product build-up, leaving my hair feeling super clean. The lather is thick and rich - another thing I always look for. I'm a firm believer in Biotin, so using it in my shampoo just makes sense for healthier hair!

This shampoo is part of a three-product treatment system that helps your hair look and become stronger and grow faster. The packaging is modern and sleek, and the bottle color is gorgeous. It has a flip-top lid that's easy to open when your hands are wet. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner are easy to tell apart when next to each other. The scent is amazing! It's slightly spicy and I can smell a slight hint of it for several days after wash day. This suds up very easily, so a little goes a long way, and it rinses clean. After using all 3 products a few times, my long, fine, curly hair is already looking and feeling healthier and stronger!

Love my new hair care routine!

I have oily scalp with dry ends and I wash my hair every other day, this shampoo made my hair super soft and healthy, and it didn’t make my hair feel greasy in between washes. It also smells fantastic! And even though it’s not overpowering, the scent lingers! I also want to mention that I’ve had long hair since I’m very young but since I cut my hair super short (2 years ago), I felt like my hair wasn’t growing super fast… until now! I think this product has made my hair stronger and it has started growing faster, which I’m super excited about!
I’ve been using the 3 products together: the shampoo, the conditioner and the treatment mask. Love this new routine!

My Hair Loves This Shampoo!

I don't know if this is a new option in the Redken line or if it's just new packaging -- either way, it's a winner. The shampoo is a unique texture. It's almost like a thin gel. I was expecting it to be creamy like the other Redken shampoo I have used. My only complaint is that it's difficult to only get a small amount out of the bottle. Instead it comes out like a blob. I would recommend this shampoo and I would purchase it. I don't know if it's actually repaired my hair since it wasn't really damaged. I do have color treated hair though and this shampoo leaves my hair super shiny but not greasy or weighed down. Bonus -- and important to me -- it smells amazing!

Ruined my hair

I was really excited to try this product. I have the shampoo conditioner and leave in conditioner. I use it all as directed and my hair has never been this dry and brittle in my life. The ends look and feel like straw. I noticed I was losing a lot more hair than usual and I did not want to believe it was from this because I spent a lot of money on this set buying them all in the Liter bottles. I gave it a few months and decided to get a different shampoo and conditioner and my hair actually felt alive again. I would not recommend this product.

Smells great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product complimentary from Redken for my honest review. First of all this smells great, maybe a bit too strong for some, but I like it and the scent lingers in my hair for a few hours.
I have long hair that's down to about my shoulder blades which is also bleached to a light blonde. I always seem to have to cut a significant amount, 4-5", when I get to this length due to major split ends and just plain damage. As of right now my ends aren't looking bad at all, actually I've noticed that they seem to be improving with every wash, which is only twice a week. My hair also seems to be less tangled. I wouldn't say this is the best at cleansing the oils and product buildup, but does work ok, which is why I couldn't give it 5 stars.

Mermaid Finds Favorite Shampoo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always had long, wavy hair, and despite being magical mermaid hair, it is surprisingly temperamental, so for YEARS I've been on the lookout for my "perfect" shampoo! I feel like this one, is the closest I've come to finding the perfect shampoo! It has a fairly pleasant smell (not fruity... I can't quite place it... it's almost a vanilla? But with some other perfume on top). If you're sensitive to scents, definitely use the shampoo sparingly (it lathers great, so a little bit honestly does go a long way!). I was afraid at first that it wasn't going to do my hair well, but after every use, my hair has felt luxurious! My scalp has also been much happier, and hasn't had any buildup since using this product! I will absolutely be picking this up in the future!

About 9 months ago I was sent this shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment to review by a third party company. I have to admit, the first thing I noticed was the scent. It’s marvelous!! The second thing I noticed is that after a couple of uses, my hair didn’t break near as much. There wasn’t a lot of hair in the drain in the shower, and the amount of hair in my brush dryer was almost down to nothing. I am blessed with long think hair and I am in my mid 50’s. I color and highlight my hair too. Sometime I have it done at the salon and sometimes I do it myself. Either way, this shampoo and conditioner keeps my hair looking silky smooth and shiny. It reduces the frizz and it is now my favorite shampoo and conditioner! I have bought this twice since getting it 9 months ago.

Well I am pleased to say, they work great! With ingredients like niacinamide, biotin, and castor oil It's really like skincare but for your hair. These products have really bright my hair back to life! I am someone who either first irons or wears my hair in a bun daily. I also have color treated hair. The shampoo, conditioner, and triple action treatment really gives your hair be life and strength. Helps to keep your hair long and strong! Pleasant scent. The Triple Action Treatment tingles a little (in a good way) and smells amazing! I will definitely be buying these in the future! I highly recommend!

I liked this product for several reasons - it cleanses well without leaving a residue or buildup, has a very mild scent (as someone sensitive to smells this was a big bonus for me), & I think seems to be working in terms of my hair growing. I will definitely continue to use this & would feel comfortable chopping a couple of inches off my hair this summer knowing I have this in my routine.

I've never used Redken products before, so I'm going into this blind; no clue how my hair will respond to it. So far, I've used it twice, it doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky or like a film of product was leftover after the wash, which I like. I'm not too fond of the smell, but thats not a deal-breaker for me. For a product like this you need to give it some time to see the if it has any lengthening effect like it promises, so we'll see!

Couldn’t get behind the smell.

I went into these products with a very open mind because I’m dealing with some intense postpartum hair loss. The smell of this products right off the bat for me was off putting. It smelled like medicine. It gave a good lather, which I find to be a positive. I used it a few times and it didn’t give a residue, or weigh my hair down at all. My hair was super greasy though very quickly after using these products.

I didn’t notice any changes and I’ve been using it every day for weeks now. Not really any smell and when my hair is dried it has a bad smell to it. I noticed I had to wash my hair twice for my hair to feel clean and for the price I definitely don’t feel like it’s worth the money, but that is just me personally. I have thin, color treated hair and it didn’t really do anything one way or the other.

Finally growth shampoo that actually works!!

I’ve been using Redken Extreme Length Shampoo for about 6-8 weeks now (I pair it with a gentle conditioner), and I’m honestly so impressed. My hair always felt like it never grew past a certain point because of breakage at the ends. But since using this, I’ve noticed:
• Way less shedding when I wash / brush — the shampoo seems to strengthen my strands and reduce breakage.
• My hair feels stronger and healthier — it’s smoother, less frizzy, and doesn’t look limp.
• I’ve already seen some visible growth (an inch or two) — especially past the length where I normally get a lot of split ends.
• It cleans well, but doesn’t dry me out. My scalp feels clean without being tight or itchy.
Really happy I picked this up. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to grow their hair longer & keep it healthy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is sleek but that is the only positive thing I have to say about this shampoo I used this product in line with the complete set (conditioner and mask) and it totally ruined my hair! I’m a hairstylist and I have learned to stay away from this brand, I have never experienced amazing results with redken, but since I got this box I had to give it a try. The ingredients alone scream out “ ultra drying” to my poor lightened hair. Even while applying to my hair it felt like I was using hand soap in my hair, which began to feel dry instantly and stick and tangle together. It has been three weeks since I used this product and my hair still feels like hay and is so dull and lifeless. Buyer beware! I have so much product left I won’t even gift it to a friend because of the horrible experience I had!

great shampoo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the smell, easy to disperse, no problems on my sensitive scalp! This product also rated well on the Yuka app which examines the ingredients list for risk factors. I was pleasantly surprised! Good reminder that products do not have to be blatantly labeled “natural” “everything free” etc to be safe to use. I gave four stars since this isn’t a sulfate free shampoo which isn’t the best choice for curly/wavy hair like my own. But did appreciate the results in all other categories.

it's ok, but not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The length claim may take some time, and I'm not worried about my length. I am worried about breakage and split ends, so maybe that'll help sooner. First impressions: nice light smell, left my hair clean, no residue. Not as much lather as I typically like, but that's not a deal breaker. BUT I have colored hair, and this is NOT sulfate free, so for me, it's likely not going to become a staple (note: the website claims color safe, but the second ingredient is sodum laurel sulfate).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this shampoo for about 3 weeks now and I can say it has truly made a difference. My hair feels so healthy and strong. I have noticed it growing faster as well. I recently got my hair done so I was looking for a shampoo that will strengthen my hair and this is it. It smells really good. However, it does not lather as good as some of my other redken shampoos. Other than that everything else about it is amazing. My scalp feels really clean after using this shampoo.

Perfect combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trying this triple combo of the Redkin shampoo, conditioner and hair mask that is infused with Biotin to help hair grow and strengthen. I love anything thar helps my fine straight hair grown stronger so this was definitely something to try. love the packaging of the shampoo/ conditioner as well as the squeeze bottle for the hair mask as opposed to a jar that you have to stick your fingers in. it smells great and has given my hair a nice shine. I would recommend.

LOVE this shampoo!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this shampoo for the past several weeks and I absolutely love it paired with the matching conditioner. It smells like candy, and using the shampoo and conditioner together makes my hair feel crazy soft and look super shiny. it even enhances my natural curls! the verdict is still out As to whether the system is actually making my hair grow longer, but my hair does fe softer and stronger after use so for that reason I would completely recommend this shampoo!

I think I found something special with this Redken lengthening shampoo! I have loved this product so far! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo left my hair feeling weightless and soft, probably my most favorite shampoo I have ever tried. I've recently been contemplating trying a Redken product since reviews seem to be good and I like to try a little pricier products because I know good quality isn't cheap. I have long hair and lately it has felt broken and brittle, after trying this condition it revived my hair almost instantly, obviously I used it with shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner.

Amazing Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this Redken Extreme Length shampoo and I very pleased. It applies, lathers and disperses easily. It cleans my hair wonderfully. If there was one thing I would have to choose to change it would be that I would make the product a bit more thicker. That is a personal preference though. I like to have thicker shampoos. I feel like I have to use more product than I typically do with my usual shampoo, but for the benefits I receive from Redken, its certainly worth it.

Nice Fresh Scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using for a few weeks and so far I am satisfied with this shampoo. First of all, the scent is a very pleasant, clean fresh scent which is important. While washing my hair along with the conditioner, I feel my usually tangled hair, detangle with much effort. I do a lot of heat styling and at home hair dye and this has helped me keep my hair looking healthier. Very satisfied, but not surprised as I've had only positive experiences with Redken hair products

Decent products for my fine, wavy hair, not not sp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner were given to me for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review.
My hair is really fine and thinning, wavy and uncolored. I've been using these products for a few weeks now and have nothing bad to say about them, but nothing great either. My scalp feels healthy and normal, my hair clean and moisturized. The scent is mild, slightly herbal, which is nice compared to lots of other companies' overly-fragranced products. I can't think of any negatives, but it's just not giving me any particular reason to stay with it either. The special ingredients they advertise on the label are such small percentages, especially since these are products we wash out. The deep conditioner felt a bit too intense for my hair, but that's true for most of them, so I can't be mad at that.

Short Hair... No more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Law of Attraction does exist. I've been sporting pixie haircut for almost a decade and then I've finally decided to grow it longer. I haven't been to my hair stylist for almost 5 months now and my hair is already past my chin. Then got this Redken Extreme set from Influenster. Well, I've been using it for a week now and it feels like my hair is no longer prone to breakage and the hair shaft feels plump. I love the smell, too which is a plus factor.
