Wow! My curls are finally hydrated!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being somebody with hard to deal with curly combination hair I am so happy to have found this extreme conditioner. This does not weigh my curls down, it leaves a very soft easy to manage curl situation after I rinse. I am so happy that this product does not weigh my curls down… I am able to use my usual styling products without my hair, feeling drawn down and greasy. This is an amazing conditioner, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has experienced issues with their hair, feeling weighed down after conditioning in the past.. this conditioner also helped me easily finger curl my curls as they were smooth and manageable. .

Life changing. My hair is so damaged and this is absolutely saving it. I was hesitant because of the price, but my hair was a mess after I made an impulse decision to bleach it (badly, and at home) and I had all but given up hope when I went to get it chopped off, essentially against my will and nearly in tears. The stylist told me not to cut it all off just yet because she had a feeling it was not entirely beyond repair. She said that this line would help me. She was RIGHT. It’s so worth it. Plus, it smells so nice without being overly intoxicating or nauseating - I’d describe it as a sort of blueberry muffin scent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recommend the REDKEN 5TH Avenue NYC extreme conditioner for women with natural hair. I have natural 4C Raw Indian hair & it took to the product perfectly. My hair was not damaged at all from using the product. As well lathered very well & the scent was phenomenal! My curl pattern was defined intensely. Minimal shrinkage, little to none shedding which is a key factor for me.
I definitely recommend this for African American women with natural hair. I’m a very hard person to please when it comes to new hair products & I give it 5STARS!

Only thing missing is extra hydration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this conditioner and the entire line smells incredible. It's like a blue raspberry candy scent, but I can't quite put my finger on the exact fragrance. I really like using this during the warmer months because it's not too heavy. The anti-breakage formula makes me feel ok with washing my hair more often than I do in the winter. My hair is so glossy after using this, and the ends aren't showing any signs of breakage. My hair feels stronger. The only thing I would request would be more hydration as my hair is more dry than damaged, but it's nothing a little oil on the ends can't fix!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have extremely long curly hair that can tend to be dry and frizzy. This does a really good job at not adding build-up to the hair and it actually gets into the hair to moisturizer and it has seemed to help my dry hair that can be with brittle. I put it on my hair in the shower place it in a bun and clip it and let it sit for about 5 minutes before rinsing. When renting it rinses clean my hair feels moisture ized and smells absolutely amazing. Because my hair is so long dry and frizzy I do need a little bit more hydration so that's why I will not give it a full 5 stars but it is a good product.

Great Detangling Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a creamy conditioner that does a great job untangling your hair and leaving it soft and manageable. I have damaged my hair quite a bit over the years with color and hot tools and it often takes me using a lot of conditioner to get my hair untangled, but with just a nickel size amount of Redken's Extreme conditioner worked wonders on my hair. Within the last two weeks I've noticed my hair looks healthier, shinier, & less frizzy, which is hard to accomplish with Louisiana's humidity. I'd recommend this to anyone with damaged hair or anyone just looking for a really good conditioner.

My hair is pretty damaged from having bleach in it and no matter what conditioner I tried it never really did anything for my hair. My hair would be soft and detangled in the shower but once I was out it felt the same. Once I started using this I really saw a huge difference. My hair wasn't as tangled or super puffy and brittle looking. This conditioner didn't make my hair greasy and I have very oily hair. I use the matching shampoo as well. I even had a lot of friends ask me what I did to my hair that it looked so much healthier! It last a good amount of time and is worth every penny!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I debated on whether I wanted to say this or not... but, I'm going to. I really enjoy the packaging of the Redken Extreme Conditioner; however, I don't care for all the wording that is on the front of it. Specifically the fact that is says "apres-shampooing". I'm sure it probably says "after shampooing" or something like that... when you don't have glasses on cause you're obviously in the shower and only see "shampooing", yeah it didn't end up well. Anyways, once I realized my mistake, the CONDITIONER, ended up working pretty well. My hair was soft after using and smelled so good.

I bought the entire bleach recovery system, this conditioner from redkin extreme line, and some leave in hair oils from OGX and Garnier Fructus.
Look I'm not one to leave reviews normally, but when I tell you my hair was FRIED from going red to teal in one week... I mean it was FRIED.
Like can't run your fingers through it, multiple breakage points in the hair shaft, rough and dry, always tangling and trying to dread, terrible!
I've used the shampoo, lamellar water, and conditioner twice, and the leave in treatment came a bit later so I just used that one for the first time, along with the hair oils I mentioned. My hair feels like hair. Not only hair- but SOFT hair. SHINY HAIR.
Buy it. Buy it now.

Game Changer for Damaged Hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have damaged hair because I regularly highlight, lowlight, and color my hair in the salon...and daily washing, drying, and straightening. To keep it as healthy as I can, I usually use Redken All Soft shampoo and heavy cream, but it it's a little heavy, making my hair oily be the end of the workday. I was SO excited to try this Redken product! Not only did it smell amazing, but it left my hair healthy and light, but without the oil. I didn't think that was even possible with my hair, but this is a game changer! I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I'm not going back. I can even get two days out of a wash with no oil, and my ends are healthier than they've been in years! Game changer for sure!!

Hydrating without stickiness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this Redken extreme conditioner! It has hydrated my hair and made it shiny but it’s doesn’t save a weird sticky texture like some damage conditioners do. I have medium to thick hair and I color it and use a flat iron or curling iron on it almost daily so my hair has definitely suffered some damage. I love this smell of this conditioner, it’s mild but still smells great. A little bit of product goes a long way which I like because this conditioner is priced moderately high so I want it to last long. I’d say it’s totally worth the price. I have used it three times and I already see a difference in my hair! The left is before and then right is after (my hair was colored between photos)

I have long, coarse, wavy hair. Pretty prone to dryness. Recovering from heat damage. I used to use the extreme shampoo and conditioner at every wash day, and I was honestly pretty disappointed with the results. It turns out I was using too much protein in my hair. So now, I use this conditioner once per month, and I always look forward to using it because it leaves my hair SO shiny and tangle-free. If you’ve tried this product a few times and didn’t like it, I would encourage you to try alternating between this and a hydrating conditioner to see if that works best for you.

If you lighten or color your hair and it’s starting to feel/look dull, dry, and damaged, you need this shampoo. I’m a stylist and I use it after every lightening service because it helps to strengthen your hair by adding protein back into the hair. Your hair will be so much stronger, softer, and smoother after it. I don’t recommend this as your every day shampoo, I’d only use it every couple washes because if you use it too often you can add too much protein and your hair will become brittle. I have a balayage and I use it about once a week to maintain strength on my hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Redken Extreme Shampoo & Conditioner for Damaged Hair for two weeks and I can already see and feel a difference in my locks. My natural wave pattern has returned, my hair seems stronger, and there is less breakage in my comb.
I'm letting my hair grow so this is really a terrific product/combination of products for me - especially considering I swim in our chlorinated pool several times a week and I live in the desert - so my hair takes a regular beating. My hair is already shinier and smoother. plus the conditioner has reduced tangles by 95%. I'm sold!

I have been using the shampoo, conditioner and the leave in treatment and my hair has felt so healthy. I usually wash my hair every 2-3 days but it has been staying clean and greasy for up to 5! I have an extremely dry scalp and I was worried this product would make it worse but it has cleared up a bit after only 4 uses. I will definitely be buying more of this product and from the brand. My hair feels soft and clean and I feel like I have been shedding less hair when I shower and brush it!

As someone who has been dying/bleaching/coloring their hair since early days of high school it’s no surprise that stress my hair has endured is pretty evident. Redken Extreme Redken Extreme Conditioner 85 Oz shampoo and conditioner have been my go to for years. It slowed down deterioration of heavily color treated hair, helped manage the frizz that inevitably comes with the territory and overall preserved my hair over the years. It’s on pricier side, but I’ve noted significant difference in the appearance and manageability of my hair any time I tried to deviate.

Love the conditioner, but smaller bottle than the

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Redken Extreme conditioner for my damaged hair after being in the sun and a chlorinated pool all summer. Before using, my hair was very dry and brittle and this conditioner really helped to improve the health and shine of my hair. It has a wonderful thickness to it, so it really coats the hair follicles to moisturize and repair. My only complaint is that the conditioner bottle is smaller than the shampoo bottle, so I will run out of conditioner first. I already use conditioner faster than shampoo even when both are the same size, so that's a bit disappointing. Overall though I would recommend the product, my hair was much more manageable and is reconditioned and restored to better health after having a very hot summer!

However, when detangling, I really did not notice a huge difference between this and any other conditioner I have used. I have dry, damaged hair and did not feel like this product did anything different than any other conditioner. It does smell good, and it does a decent job of not having your hair completely tangled right after washing. I would recommend this more to people without a crazy amount of dryness or damage, as it would probably do a better job on that hair type.

First off the smell is wonderful! I am the person that buys products based off there smell, of course the ingredients and what it has to offer! I have over processed hair so I really like the redken extreme line. I personally do not like to use it for a every day duo but alternate it with other redken products! It helps with the frizz and all the things that come with over processed hair! It’s pricy but it helps for me and if your willing to pay the extra for a better product than this is a good product for you if your hair needs a little extra Tlc!!

This is my holy grail conditioner! It makes your hair so soft and smooth and you can really feel it strengthen (the entire redken extreme line works so well!!!). I’ve tried all kind of conditioners and this one doesn’t weight down my fine hair, and it consistently works on my bleached hair to make it SO nourished- some people actually made comments thinking I have naturally blonde hair because it looks so healthy! I’ve been using this product for YEARS and every time I try a different conditioner I always come back to this one. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For this product, a little goes a long way and that's a big deal coming from someone with curly hair. I go through conditioner like it's water. I need a lot of conditioner in my hair to feel like I'm properly hydrating my curls, but after just a squeeze of this conditioner, I was able to achieve good slip. I massaged it into my ends and worked it up my scalp and felt my hair almost instantly get softer. I left it in for 5 minutes to really allow it to penetrate and then was able to easily detangle without losing too much hair. I will definitely continue using this product to see if it really does strengthen my hair, but Redken is a trusted brand and is always highly recommended by stylists, so I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy using this product.

Detangles nicely but a tad heavy for fine hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I'm liking the extreme lineup. Because my hair is fine and thin I don't use it daily, but every other to help with breakage.
I find that it is a bit heavy for my fair, so I just started conditioning before shampooing to help with that. It detangles well and my hair brushes out easily when I use it.
It doesn't leave me feeling greasy (though I do only use it mid-shaft to ends) and my hair looks shiny and healthy after. I did notice that I see a bit more shedding when I use this system , both in and out of the shower.

WONDERFULLY atleast on my curly hair ) First I'll list the GOOD EFFECTS of this conditioner to the LOOK OF MY CURLS after using it! My hair SMELLED WONDERFUL, it was SUPER SOFT and SUPER FULL!
My CONS- MY CURLS were SUPER FRIZZY and had to be TAMED with a HAIR SERUM when I used it. Eventually I realized my hair did SO MUCH BETTER with the SHAMPOO ALONE and its WONDERFUL CONDITIONING EFFECT!

noticeable difference in my fragile hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this shampoo for 3 weeks solid. I teach hot yoga and I run so I shampoo and condition my hair daily or sometimes more than once a day. My hair is very fine and breaks easily. Since I've been using Redken Extreme strengthening shampoo and conditioner I've noticed my hair feels stronger, thicker, and doesn't break as easy. However, it is usually frizzy when it dries. (I always let my hair air dry.) It's strong but I think it lacks some moisture, or maybe I just overwash it. The shampoo and conditioner smell great!

It’s a medium thickness, combs through hair easily, and gives hair that nice “slip.” It doesn’t leave a lot of product buildup or a filmy feeling, which is very important for me. My hair feels so soft, so conditioned and is noticeably healthier looking after use. I love to use this before a heat style to prevent any further damage, and I am absolutely blown away by how much this has improved the breakage in my hair, especially at my hairline. I’ve been using Olaplex for the past 6 months to treat my hair breakage but I will never need it again due to this product! Seriously if you are a fan of Olaplex, this is your lesser expensive and more effective replacement for it! Try ONE bottle of this - I promise you will NOT be disappointed!

Soft like silk!

I have thick long length highlighted hair and because of the highlights my hair tends to feel really dry at the ends. The conditioner is thick and doesn’t require much to get the soft like silk hair. My hair felt clean and didn’t feel dried out after. The conditioner is thicker so I didn’t need as much. And it left my hair feeling soft and hydrated. The bottle sizes are perfect for my little shower shelf! The smell is a hint of sweet perfume and a fresh scent. The smell is not overbearing and I could still smell it after blow drying my hair. My hair was left feeling soft and and smooth! After styling my hair I didn’t notice any breakages and I had so much volume to play with.

My hair was hot pink/ magenta last year and it has since faded out. I normally make sure to use a color safe shampoo (I don’t know if this one is) but I waited until the color had faded naturally before I began to use this. Since I’ve been using this shampoo and conditioner my hair feels really nice. It’s softer and doesn’t feel as damaged. I’ve got dead ends that need to be cut off but the rest of it just feels healthier all together. I noticed I can’t go as long in-between washes but only by like a day less.

I could cry over this product, but I’m a big girl so I won’t. My hair was destroyed after being bleached way too many times and I was losing my hair in chunks. I’d run my hands through my hair and it would break off. I mean seriously. I bought this on a whim and immediately bought two backups of the jumbo size. It smells semi like bananas, and I can run my fingers through my hair without hair breaking off or my hair getting tangled. I use the shampoo and the anti snap serum and my hair has never been better.

This has been my favorite shampoo for over a year now! I switch between this and a Matrix one, but this one has never failed me! It's just moisturizing and deep conditioning enough to repair the mess I have been known to make of my hair, and I use it every other day most of the time! It prevents the frizz I get in areas of high humidity, and is moisturizing enough in dry locations! This shampoo and conditioner are my "go to", and will be till something better comes out! It's great for color treated hair too!

I absolutely love this conditioner for when my hair is super damaged after bleaching or dying my hair. This is my number one daily use conditioner for when my hair is fried and unmanageable. After using overtime it noticeably gets much healthier and softer and overall fixes the damage. It smells delicious and doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. After using this my hair cuticle is noticeably smoother and there is much less breakage! I definitely recommend this conditioner and will continue using it.

Recently I just had my hair ombréfied to the extreme! So I needed extra hydration for my thirsty bleached ends. my stylist sent me home with this bottle and it helped keep my ends and color in tact until the bottle went dry! Great conditioner, it's thick and soaks into the hair nicely. I like to leave it on for 5 minutes in the shower and leave just a leeetle bit in there when I rinse out to help with the brushing which can be brutal with bleached ends. All in all this a great product I love it.

Love this product. Since I color my hair, use heat products I needed something that could improve my hair, and be price worthy. The conditioner protects shine, repairs your hair, and leaves it supple and shiny. It also ha as protein complex that treats your hair from the root to the core to the tip, giving all 3 levels the custom nourishment they need. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just like the shampoo, I have fallen in LOVE with this conditioner. Smells great. Really feels like it softens and protects my hair and doesn’t leave any slimy residue behind. I can comb through my hair without using additional products/detanglers. Since the bottles are identical in shape/color, I will say I accidentally reached for this (and put it on a few times) because the label has the word “shampoo” on it. Silly me for not paying better attention but I think they could redo the label.

I purchased this conditioner along with the shampoo after my stylist recommended it to me since I'm trying to grow my hair out. This conditioner smells amazing and makes my hair so soft! I've been using this song with the shampoo for a little over a month and it really has made a big difference in my hair's strength and health. It doesn't break near as often as it used to and it feels so much thicker. It also looks smoother and feels really soft! I do glad that I decided to purchase it.

I like this conditioner. But I can't say that it's because it performs as described. I didn't see a change in the amount of breakage while using this with its matching shampoo. What I did get was very soft hair. It's not easy for me to find shampoos and conditioners that leave my hair feeling that soft. However, there's alot of buildup, and it happens quickly when you use this with the extreme shampoo. If you're thinking of wanting to try this, I recommend using with out the shampoo.

Redken Extreme Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially I was concerned about the entire line of extreme shampoo, conditioner & leave in conditioner being too heavy for my curly hair. I was right. The products are great for breakage as they state. But, it definitely weighs down my natural curls. I would highly recommend if you straighten your hair. The packaging is appealing, the smell is nice, rinses well. I found myself spraying the leave-in conditioner on my hand and then applying rather than spraying directly on to my hair.
Yes, I recommend this product.
