    dry scalp

after about 4 washes, we think this shampoo and respective conditioner made my 16 year old son's scalp super dry. we brush with a boars hair brush weekly and have a history of dry scalp. today, because of the excessively flaky scalp, we immersed the hair and scalp with rosemary oil, tea tree oil and a chemical free, all natural complex oil for seborrheic dermatitis. please let us know if the drying reaction is possible and please let us know if Redken would have any other shampoo suggetions for curly hair without drying the scalp.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    bad smell

All the curvaceous line smells so strong and the smell lingers. It smells like bad mens cologne. I can't stand to use it, no matter how good the product might be. It triggers migraines it's so strong. No matter how many people complained about the smell of your old formula, you continued to use this same smell in your reformulation. Remember Fresh Curls? That smelled soft and nice. This is offensive.

My favorite shampoo. It’s moisturizing and gentle on my curls (while defining them) and keeps frizz at bay. I’ve repurchased three times now. The low foam is a happy medium for me as I’m too freaked out to try a cleanser that doesn’t lather, but knowing too much lather will dry out my hair. A staple in my routine for sure.

    The Best

The Redken low foam shampoo and curvaceous conditioner are the absolute best products I have ever used in my hair. In over forty years. I struggle to maintain moisture in my curls because I colour my hair and spend time outdoors in the sun. These products are awesome. Also I happen to like the scent of them!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Stinks

I bought Curvaceous Low Foam Shampoo as my current shampoo left my curly hair frizzy. My hair loved this shampoo but the fragrance, and I use that term lightly, was horrible and overwhelming. I washed my hair twice with a different shampoo to get rid of the smell but it still remains 10 hours later. Ugh!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

I got this in a really cool sample kit from salon centric. I love redken and the curvaceous line, but I am not fond of the lo-foam cleanser. I feel as if it doesn't lather (which I guess is the point.) I would recommend this to someone with ethnic hair over fine Caucasian hair.

I really wanted to love this product! My hair is curly, dry and unruly. This shampoo was difficult to manage through my hair and I’m not sure if it did much in terms of moisture.

We are sorry to hear that the Redken Curvaceous Low Foam did not work for you. Perhaps, you may want to try the Redken All Soft Mega Shampoo it lathers more and All Soft Mega Shampoo contains a nourishing formula that softens and adds hydration to severely dry, coarse hair. Washing your hair with All Soft Mega Shampoo helps to prevent moisture loss and helps keep severely dry hair hydrated and soft.

I love this so much. This help with people who like to feel the foam@working on their hair and scalp but still provides excellent hydration and brings out your natural curls.
