Magic in a bottle

I'm in WI, I have always struggled with having dry, brittle hair in the winters and now I'm graying so it's getting worse. Styling my hair with heat has been rough on my hair, that is, until I used the Redken night&day serum. So far I've only used it as a heat protectant before blow drying and straightening for the past week. Immediately the results were sleek, smooth hair after drying and minimal straightening required - I've never experienced anything like this before! And now my hair overall feels softer and smoother. I'm in love!

Daily hair care for bleached hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bleached hair, so I am always looking for conditioning and repairing hair products to minimize damage and make my coarse, overprocessed hair more manageable. The Redken Serum has a light lotion consistency, so more watery than a hair mask which makes it appropriate for daily use. I apply it to the dry ends of my hair, and while other products such as hair oils leave my hair weirdly crunchy the next day, this serum sinks into my hair without leaving any noticeable residue. I have tried soo many hair products including olaplex and I really like this serum! Also, it’s great that it can be used night and day.

Wonderful Hair Serum

It can be used any time during the day or at night and it has simple instructions that come right on the bottle. I found that after just a few days of using it, my hair looks and feels softer and healthier than it did before. Salon style hair

I used it on damp hair and then blow dryed it did create a very smooth nice voluminous texture. And then the morning after when I woke up my hair still felt soft and controlled. No craziness or anything like that. There’s not a strong smell or anything. The product itself is thin creamy and smooth. I’m just surprised on how well my hair held up after sleeping and how well the product worked. It literally feels like my hair was done at a salon.

It is easy to apply, all I do is apply a small amount of this product before I go to bed at night to the middle length of my hair to the ends of my hair, I like that I don’t have to rinse my hair and I can apply it to my hair when it is damp or dry.
It is helping with my split ends and it is helping my hair to look and feel so hydrated and soft.
I also like that I can apply a little bit of this product if my hair is fizzy and it will help calm it down.

Love it! Adding it to routine!

As you can tell in the photos I have one side where I put the product in and one side where I didn’t. On the side where I used the product my red is more vibrant and you can see the frizz is gone. I tend to have very dry skin because I use a lot of dry shampoo how’ve once I use this product it adds back in so much moisturizer. I am not sure how much this cost but it is definitely something I would buy for my hair to knee it healthy in the future. The appearance of the bottle is mid but the product does so much more than that.

First of all, the packaging is really well done and looks like a salon-level product should. I recently highlighted my hair, which made it a little dry, but my hair was more hydrated and healthier looking after just one use. Not to mention, this is one of the best smelling hair products I have ever used. I loved using this on my damp hair post-shower as a heat protector, on dry hair to tame flyaways and add shine, and as an overnight hair mask to repair and hydrate my hair. I work the serum into wet hair and blow dry. It completely brings my hair back to life, leaves it super soft and smooth. The scent is light and I find it to be pleasant. It's a smallish bottle but you dont need a ton, just distribute it well! You can also use it on dry hair and it still works so well and doesn’t make your hair look oily! All in all, I love this product and feel like you would too if you were to give it a try!!

The texture is very thin, and does not leave a residue in the hair. I use minimal heat, and I typically use this on clean hair out of the shower. It does have a strong perfume scent. One thing I do love about this packaging is the pump because it is mess-free, and you can twist it to prevent leakage. If you’re looking to mend your split ends together, this won’t work. There is no bond repair on the market that will mend your split ends together, which only leaves you with cutting them off. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking to strengthen your hair to prevent future split ends.

Horrible smell and heavily scented

Made my fine hair frizzy, but not my daughters though. The biggest issue with this is that it is heavily scented. Me and my daughter both got horrible headaches from the scent. It smells exactly like carpet cleaner too. Within a few minutes of use we got headaches, couldn’t stop sneezing and had a scratchy throat and needed to rewash our hair to get the smell out. If there was an unscented version I would love to get it another try. I tried to use it several times over a month, but it ended up being a complete waste of money :(

SMELLS AMAZING

I received a sample of this with a recent order and it smells AMAZING. I was so captivated by the scent that I wound up relaxing on the couch for an hour..until I realized I had been laying next to a pile of dog puke (thanks, pup).
Still, the serum worked wonders! My hair is feeling SO soft and shiny - and smelling amazing, despite the unfortunate couch situation. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious hair boost! Just remember to pay extra attention to your surroundings.

I applied on damp hair and I could instantly feel my ends becoming smoother
I used it as a touch up later during the day to tame frizzy hair and it worked amazingly for that as well. I will add this to my routine from now on. And I may add it smells amazing. Doesn't make the hair feel heavy or greasy.

Best serum

Unfortunately the lady ruined my hair and my hair was damaged and broke off every where. I started using this serum every night before bed I would apply 2 to 3 pumps and then also the day before wash day I applied 3 to 5 pumps. And I would brush it . Let me just say this stuff has transformed my hair. Its growing faster, healthier and all the damage has been repaired. I highly recommend this product.

Interesting hair product

I like that you can use it on wet or dry hair, though I find the explanations slightly confusing and I’m a little lost as to why the day and night directions are different since they’re both for dry hair. I haven’t figured out if I like this better on damp or dry, though I’ve tried it on both. I do think this gives some nice smoothing to my fine hair. I like that it helps as a heat protectant, though there’s no temp listed so I’d be a little nervous to use this with a really hot tool.

After using it for roughly a week his hair has gotten softer less breakage on my hair it's become smoother softer and shinier. We both like the scent of it. I really like the dispenser because of the product doesn't get clogged inside of it. We will definitely be buying more. It is a little bit on the pricey side but it is worth it and I highly recommend it.

I really like using it especially when I just want to give my hair a break and not use much product. This along with a little hair oil and I’m good to just let my curls be. This right here loves it! I am mixed, and nothing ever has been the best for my hair but Redkens. When I seen they had a new product for curly hair, it sold me. The day and night serum on top is a must have in the bag. Before I even shampoo use the detoxifier shampoo and results are immediate! If anyone can reach out about advertising and promote products please reach out I have before and after pictures. And a video of me talking about products as I as a hobby style hair.

Great product for damaged hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't have colour treated hair and I also don't use a lot of heat but I do still get split ends and static in the dry months. I like to use this as a leave in treatment, a little bit goes a long way. This is a great product for restoring smoothness and shine. The formula isn't too heavy and the scent is pleasant so I actually want to use it. A hairdresser had actually suggested this to me before I got the chance to try it via Influenster and it's definitely worth it imo.

Great for processed hair, hydrating and pleasant s

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is my first time trying a Redken treatment, all I ever heard was good things about this brand. I was sent this product I was excited. first I have to say the product is an amazing size, the pump on the bottle makes it very practical to use. I started by washing my hair and applied a generous amount on damp hair, focusing on my mid-lengths as instructed, I instantly felt my hair much softer and as it dried it wasn't oily or with heavy product build up and my hair felt manageable especially on my ends which is where I need the most hydration. I feel as if this product will really improve the condition of my processed hair which is something I am prioritizing right now, getting my hair into a healthy state is very important to me and this product is going to be added to my hair care routine and the scent was a plus it was very nice.

A+ double duty serum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thick, coarse color treated hair that air drys frizzy and wavy. This past year my hair goals have been to maintain length, while maximizing shine and minimizing frizz. I’m so pleasantly surprised with this product- I like that the consistency is more of a serum than a cream, the smell is pleasant and strong at first but within 10 minutes I could barely smell it. I’ve tried this on my hair dry and damp and find that I need less product when damp (2 pumps, lots of hair!) vs when used on dry hair (3-4 pumps to cover my whole head). I love that this product is working to actively repair damage and allows me to air dry my hair without the uncertainty of waking up to a frizzy mess the next morning. I plan to continue using, it makes a noticeable difference in smoothness and adds a touch of shine. Really beautiful addition to my routine!

Fun extra step for haircare routine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this serum for 2 weeks now and the best thing about it is the floral scent! I’m not sure why but when I apply to my hair damp, in the morning my hair has a lot of texture but very frizzy. When I apply to dry hair, it smooths out some of the frizz. I think it’s a fun product to use and feels nice but doesn’t do as much as I had hoped for. It’s like an extra step to your kin are routine that you probably don’t need, but feels good.

Makes my hair healthier and fades away the damage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since using this Redken Bonding Serum my hair has gotten so much healthier! The scent isn’t strong but it works really well. I’ve used it several times and I can see a big difference in my hair. The damage is fading and my hair is so much softer. The packaging is nice too and makes it look like an expensive product. I look forward to seeing how much stronger and healthier my hair gets from this product. If you have damaged hair this will work!
