Now my favorite purple shampoo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This purple shampoo is, in my opinion, perfect in every way. It is not too runny or too thick. It gives a bit of a lather but not so much that your shower is getting covered with purple stains. If there is one thing I CANNOT stand, it is yellow in my hair! I need it white/silver and if I see ANY trace of yellow, I cringe. This shampoo is a great deep purple and, used in combination with other items in the Blondage line, takes any yellow right out of my hair and keeps it looking beautifully silver, just how I like it! I will purchase again! I was gifted this Redken Blondage set in exchange for my honest review… and this is as honest as it gets!

Great at toning, incredibly drying for my hair.

Does a fantastic job at toning hair, but is EXTREMELY drying. I only use this once a week and lather the shampoo up for about 2 minutes and then let the conditioner sit for at least 5. Despite this, I have to use a hair mask and not rinse it out in order for my hair to be manageable. Otherwise, I can't even brush through it. The color is beautiful, but I can't stand my hair standing up every time I touch it because it's so dry that its electrically charged. I previously used L'Oreal ever pure and while I needed to use it more frequently to stay toned, it was cheaper and did not leave my hair feeling like straw so I will be switching back to that.

After trying every high end product out there, I had given up & accepted that purple products just didn’t work for my hair. Then my stylist called insisting I try this holy grail combo from @redken! Finally!! I have found purple products that actually work!!
Not only does it help keep the brass away, it smells amazing! Like seriously. So good! Unlike other purple shampoos, it does not dry out and damage, my hair feels soft & looks healthy! And best of all stays BRIGHT BLONDE longer! So now I’m sharing to my fellow blondies- you MUST TRY THIS!

Luckily my results were completely different. At first I tried using it with gloves just to be safe and then realized even without gloves it did not leave my hands blue. The results were definitely noticeable after one use. I will continue to repurchase this 3 step process since it has worked better for me than any other purple shampoos and conditioners. Must have for blondes or highlighted hair, no more brassy hair. I received this product complimentary for my honest review.

Best Purple Shampoo I've Owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo is the real deal. The moment it came out of the bottle, I knew that this product was high quality and that it would work. This shampoo is a deep purple, that is a little runny, but covers hair well. In fact, it is *so* pigmented that my tub water turned purple - looking as if I'd used a bath bomb. Also, the shampoo has a light pleasant scent that isn't overbearing. I personally am sensitive to perfumes, but this product didn't bother me as others have. Finally, the results were fantastic - my blonde looked like day one of coloring. If you are in the market for a new purple shampoo - give this shampoo a try.

I’ve tried countless other “purple” shampoos and conditioners, all which seemed to help a little, but leave my hair dry and damaged. I had given up and thought I would just have to deal with the brassy color every few weeks, but then I received this product line complemetary to test, and this stuff is AMAZING. My hair feels healthy, looks shiny, and is the perfect shade of blonde. Pro tip: always do the second wash and leave for 3-5 minutes. That wash is important if you want perfection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To those weary of staining any perfectly white showers/tubs/grouts - consider yourself warned! (it comes out but it can definitely be alarming at first!) All others - this is a pretty great product. The smell is classically Redken and smells delightful, and it has definitely worked well to help my color last longer without brassiness. I think it may be a bit heavier/not as clarifying as what I typically can get away with using, but my hair is definition smoother and fuller and softer when I use this. Overall, would definitely recommend to others (already have)! I'll totally reconsider a purchase once I finish these bottles!

The shampoo is a very deep purple that slightly tinted my hands at first, but thankfully washed off in the shower. The texture is smooth and it suds up really nicely. It rinses clean without any grease or weird residue, which is nice. I feel like it primes my hair really well for the conditioner. The only thing I didn't like is the fragrance - I was hoping for something floral and light and this reminds me of a traditional salon product…with a chemical type of scent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing I noticed is the smell. I loved the smell of the shampoo, smells rich and luxurious. It is thick, not a watery shampoo by any means. And it is PURPLE! It is a potent purple, so heads up - your hands will have a purple tint after. But the purpose of the purple is to contradict the yellow of blonde. It definitely helped tone my hair. It gave me a more pure blonde - on the side of ashy, silver, and white tones. Definitely recommend for blondes looking to refresh and tone their blonde hair without having to go to the salon. I would suggest only using this once or twice a week max, or else it might begin to tint the hair and change the color a little too much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a good toning shampoo. My hair felt clean, soft, and manageable after using the shampoo and conditioner. However I'm not sure if it was the shampoo, conditioner, or both, but my scalp (which is prone to buildup) just never felt fully clean. I would find pale violet residue on my scalp the next day despite how well it was rinsed. This could be a feature of my own hair/scalp, but it just didn't feel like it rinsed clean of my scalp when leaving it on for several minutes as recommended. I found the toning element to be decent and helped keep/maintain the lighter shades of blonde in my balayage. I would keep using this, but interchangeably with a buildup cleanser.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the scent and the results from this line of haircare products! It's been awhile since I have used a violet toned shampoo/conditioner. I did read the directions before using and decided not to use gloves as advised. They just aren't convenient to use when showering. So, I did have a little bit of a purple tint to my hands. The shampoo is a very deep purple. It washed off fairly easily though. Follow the directions and you won't be disappointed! I would recommend leaving on for the minimum time recommended to see how your hair reacts at first. Mine was left smelling great, soft and with a beautiful tone to it.

I am in love with this shampoo a and conditioner combo. I haven’t had my blonde hair done in a few months and it’s defintley been on the brassy side but no joke after only 2 washes with this shampoo my times are back to being bright and fresh looking. I am amazed, seriously. Also the smell of this shampoo is heavenly! I 100% recommend this to everyone with blonde hair and I will be repurchasing in the future!! CONS: The smell of this product smells like straight men's cologne. If you are a man seeking to get rid of brass in your blonde hair then I’d definitely try it..otherwise, the smell is just too overbearing for females who want to smell like anything but a man.
PROS: lathers really nicely and the color is very pigmented which is best for true purple shampoos. The packaging is nice as well, sleek bottle and cap securely closes and opens.

I’m the queen of purple shampoo lol- I have tried almost every brand on the market but I actually hadn’t had tried Redken’s version yet so this was the perfect voxbox! I love the easy to open/mess free cap and how it smells amazing like a sexy guy! It removed a bit of brassiness I had in my hair in one wash! My hair doesn’t get greasy as quickly with this shampoo and I have oily hair so that impressed me. I am actually able to wear my hair down the next day after showering when I use Redken’s color extend blondage shampoo and I’m rarely able to do that with other brands! This has definitely become one of my top 2 favorite purple shampoos!

Shampoo with the Blondage shampoo, let sit for a few minutes and the rinse. This shampoo smelled really good, a nice clean smell. When using it in my hair, it was easy to use, a nice bottle, nice and sudsy just how I like. My only complaint is that Blondage type shampoos and other toners for blonde hair are SO purple, and this ended up dying my shower curtain quite a bit. All in all it wasnt bad! Made my hair feel very clean and very shiny - just the color didnt really change anything in my hair or make my color less brassy.

It’s very nourishing especially if you get your hair bleached a lot and need a nice boost and refresher. It helped my hair a lot with brass tones and it’s been a few months since I’ve gotten my hair done so it was prettt bad beforehand and this really gave it life and gave it that fresh salon look after a few washes. I really enjoy this stuff. However I have very thin hair and it can make my hair oily if I use it too much. So a few times a week and I also alternate with using my regular shampoo and then the redken conditioner

I have tried almost every purple toning shampoo on the market as I have hard water in my home and it tends to turn my blondes orange. First, I was so impressed with the pigment in the shampoo. In the directions it does advise you wear gloves while applying this product, I did not. It was relatively easy to get the color off my skin using a sugar scrub. All I have to say is wow, after just wanting use of the shampoo and conditioner my blonde is popping! It toned the brassiness, and the shine is just so beautiful. I'm so impressed by this product, it is now my go-to! I will forever be purchasing this to help tone my blonde.

I didn’t use gloves with this product and I had no issue with it staining my hands or scalp. Even after 2 uses I could visibly notice my hair looking a brighter and more vibrant blonde! Even a few coworkers had commented on how much lighter and brighter my hair looked. The only down side to this product is that when using it in conjunction with the conditioner, I can already tell I’ll use up that before I can use all of the shampoo because the shampoo is larger and I don’t use as much of it. All in all, great product and I am loving it! I received this product complimentary for testing purposes.

I use it regularly (not every day) and although it says to use gloves (who uses gloves in the shower?!) it was totally fine without. The smell is great, and as is consistent with Redken products, the product worked as advertised. The shampoo also cleaned really well which I don't always expect of products aiming to do a particular thing, like prevent brassiness. I would recommend this purple shampoo to anyone who wants to even out their blonde and prolong their color.

It eliminates most of the brassiness out of my hair the first wash, and by the second my hair is completely cool toned. It makes my blonde appear a silver gray after many washes which I LOVE. Although every purple shampoo I’ve tried has made my hair drier than normal, this one isn’t as bad. If My hair starts to feel extra dry I’ll skip a day and use my regular moisturizing shampoo instead. Also the scent is divine! I highly recommend this purple shampoo!

My hair is the happiest! First off, it’s the best smelling purple shampoo I’ve ever used- and I’ve tried them all! The formula is really gentle and I don’t feel any burning or tingling sensations, and the purple does not stain my hands or scalp. And as you can see, even though I’m not platinum, my hair still looks ash blonde in the golden sunlight. I’m sold. Also annoyed at influenster for sending me another product to add to my Ul ltabeauty shopping list. ;)

I absolutely love the smell, it is a little bit musky which is some thing I prefer over floral. The shampoo really helped to brighten up my highlights that I get done regularly at the salon. I haven't had to get them touched up as much as of late and I will attribute that to using this shampoo and conditioner. I tend to shampoo twice as the instructions say that you are able to and I have noticed that really helps with the Shire. Highly recommend this product to help keep you out of the salon a little bit longer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all when they say wear gloves when applying, they really mean it! My nails were stained purple after applying the shampoo. And it was hard to get it out of my tub even though I wiped it out right away after what happened to my hands! 😱 Combine that with the overbearingly potent scent and my first impression was not great.
As far as taking the brassiness out of my hair, it was very disappointing and possibly not even needed. One use resulted in my golden blonde looking ashy and slightly grey. It did calm down after a few washes but sheesh! I was a little worried at first and will not use this again.
I personally would not recommend using this product unless your stylist recommends it.

I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes. This shampoo has a very high pigment of purple. After a few uses I could definitely see the difference in my hair. It was less brassy. I do want to note that it has been a while since I have died my hair. I do think it would’ve worked faster if my hair had been freshly died. But, even so, it still did work. I just wish they had sent gloves with this because it did leave a tint of purple to my hands. It wasn’t bad though. But overall, great product! I would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get rid of the brassy blonde!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this #redkenblondage shampoo and conditioner. Before I cut my hair, I still had some fake blonde on the ends, hanging in there. With this shampoo/conditioner, I could honestly really tell a difference with the brightness of my colored hair! So much so, a friend at the gym, said, "did you color your hair?" I love this stuff! It smells so good and makes my hair feel and look great! The only downfall is it will slightly color your hands and fingernails if you don't rinse them real quick. (If actually says you should use gloves)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this complimentary in an Influenster vox box and it definitely helped keep my hair from getting brassy. However, it did not say on the product or in the packaging that it shouldn’t be used every wash — so for the first couple of times I used it my hair was getting continuously purple/silver. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but not the look I was going for. I had to look up that it should be mixed with your normal shampoo/conditioner or alternated with your normal shampoo/conditioner and once I did the silver tone evened out but if I had continued or didn’t look it up it wouldn’t have. I also don’t use gloves when using this product and didn’t do a spot test so make of that what you will.

Best purple shampoo I've tried!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not saying this because I got to try this product for free, this is seriously the best purple shampoo I have ever tried. I have tried some cheap ones and some of the best such as milkshake and olaplex and this is hands down the best! First, you will be amazed by the smell when you open the bottle. It is as good as smelling your favorite perfume. I did as the directions suggested and used the shampoo twice. It lathered up nicely and made my hair feel nice and clean. The end result was a beautiful blonde and it looked like I had just had my hair done.

Best Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So after trying to Redken Color Extend Blondish shampoo and conditioner I was super impressed with the results. It's the best purple shampoo and conditioner I've ever used. Other purple shampoos I've used typically leave my hair dried out, especially at the ends. But my hair not only smelled amazing, but was hydrated and looked more light blonde/less brassy after just one use of the Redken shampoo and conditioner! I will definitely continue using these two products and highly recommend them to others as I already have to my fellow blonde family & friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little worried about this shampoo since the last one I tried was super drying. For starters I love the packaging and right away it smells so good! I love that it’s simple to apply, no need for gloves. I typically only do this on my ends, as that is where the bulk of my blond is, but I do use it once every other week all over, to make sure all my highlights are staying a nice cool blonde. I can tell instantly when I’ve used this and it’s not super drying! I only use this once a week. I would absolutely recommend, and will definitely get this again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my honest opinion of the redken anti brass purple shampoo. First, i was so impressed with the size of this! When I opened the bottle the smell was more of a chemical smell than I had imagined. However, the consistency of the deep purple shampoo was excellent. I followed instructions and applied to wet hair, rinsed and then reapplied and let it sit for 4 minutes. I then followed with the redken conditioner. After completing my shower I blow dried my hair. I couldn’t tell much of a difference but I’m sure with multiple uses it will shine bright.

Lovely floral scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do you color your hair blonde and have issues with it turning brassy? Try color extender shampoo! @bzzagent sent me this @redken color extend blondage shampoo and conditioner to try. I've used several different brands of color extender shampoos and haven't liked them all for how they work however this one has a very lovely floral scent and really ups their game on fragrance alone. I have a thing for fragrances and this one just hits the spot. The purple tent in the shampoo is what neutralizes the brassy color and helps extend your nice blonde tones.

The ONLY Purple Shampoo you'll ever need!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, let me just say I've used my fair share of different purple shampoos over the years to get rid of brassiness or to tone down the warmth in my blonde hair and 95% of them usually dry my hair out terribly... THIS DOES NOT!! Not only does it smell absolutely amazing, it left my hair feeling SUPER soft and not dry like other purple shampoos. One thing to note, this shampoo doesn't lather up a TON but it does the job and my hair was still left feeling clean and amazing. I'll definitely be buying a bigger bottle to keep on hand! Good stuff!

Nice toning product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] * I received this product free as part of a sampling program * I am new to highlighting my hair and am interested in products to extend the time in between highlighting visits. This product definitely seems like it will be added to my hair care routine. It definitely seems to brighten my blonde highlights, although I only mixed with my normal shampoo to start. I wasn't a huge fan of the smell, but I'm extremely sensitive to smells, and you have to be very careful or you'll end up with everything around you purple. But overall, a very good product!

Smells amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the way this smells! my last one I used didn't smell this good. and this one actually lathers and feels like a shampoo and doesn't leave my hair feeling limp/build upped. I've also used this mixed with my shampoo and have also gotten good results. Comparing to my last one, this also feels more like shampoo in that it isn't overly liquidy, which I think is great to help prevent getting this purple tint to stain everything. it's held together better. I think it does a great job at getting the yellow out of my hair. I will definitely buy this.

Close to Perfect

The only negative thing I have to say about this product is I don't feel like it creates enough lather; I feel I use quite a bit of the shampoo in order to get it worked through my hair evenly. That's it...other than that, it's perfect. My hair feels clean, my blonde highlights stay blonde and my naturally white hair stays white. No brassiness & no damaged hair here! I have already had tons of compliments on my hair since using this shampoo (and conditioner). I would highly recommend it.

I use this system

I use this system once a week, to keep the brassiness out of my blonde locks. The shampoo leaves your hair clean, and strips out any product residue that may be lingering- and the conditioner replenishes moisture and smoothness.
This is NOT an every day shampoo/conditioner. But, if you use it once in a while, let it sit the recommended time, and use BOTH shampoo and conditioner together- it will remove the yellowing and dulling from your tresses.
Also, this works on ALL shades of blonde, (and light brown) including natural, uncolored hair.
