In this video, Sam shows us how to create a modern ponytail side knot using Redken's NEW Dry Shampoo Paste 05. Dry Shampoo Paste 05 is a 2-in-1 styler that gives you the texture of a paste, while doubling as a dry shampoo. It’s oil-absorbing, provides hair with separation and added grip, and also gives you re-workable hold.

Follow the simple steps below to create this look!

• Take a small amount of Dry Shampoo Paste 05 and emulsify in your hands

• Work the product through the hair

• Secure a side ponytail with an elastic

• Begin gently pulling pieces at the crown area to create volume 

• Dispense more product and apply to the ponytail section, pancake the ponytail using Dry Shampoo Paste 05

• Take a section on the right side of the ponytail and loop underneath and around to cover your elastic

• Continue looping hair from the right side of the ponytail. Pull hair underneath and around the ponytail and tie. Continue this technique as you work your way down the ponytail. 

• Using a large bobby pin, pin the ponytail knot in place.
