[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used and still use Redken Brews Cream Pomade/Medium Control for styling my hair and was extremely satisfied with the results. Using my fingertip I start out with a small amount rubbed between both hands adding additional cream as needed. The Pomade Cream had a very light pleasant scent with a great hold that last's without any greasy or stiff feeling. I have used several products on the market gels, oils, and creams but Redken Brews Cream Pomade is far superior.

Sometimes, however, I need to be a bit more presentable, and love to have a good product to keep my hair where I want it. The Brews pomade worked really well for me in initial styling. I didn't need to use too much product to get a good hold, which is really nice because a lot of the time I find when you need a lot of product, you get a greasy finish. It gave my hair a nice dulled shine, which is the result I look for. The hold lasted throughout a work day, although by the end of the day it was starting to go a bit flat. The only thing that kinda bummed me out was the lack of scent. Hair products naturally have a scent and it's not that pleasant. A little menthol like in the shampoo to give it a nice scent in your hands and hair would do wonders.

I feel like it has a good balance of having a hold for my hair and also allowing it to be moved and styled. It doesn't feel too greasy as well. Overall this is a very nice quality pomade that can be used to make several different hair styles. I would definitely recommend this.

I smells great and the other pomades I have tried are very creamy which I didn't like as much. This pomade on the other hand was nice and thick texture, easily spreads throughout your hands and the application process was easily. I love it! I will definitely be buying more after I am done with my sample.

I have thin wispy hair on top. I am also thinning. When my hair gets longer, it goes everywhere. I've tried so many other products, muds, putty's, gels, pomades etc. and nothing ever worked like I wanted. I bought this on a whim, and I am glad I did. It light and has great hold. I use it every day. A little goes a long way. This is my forever hair product. You should at least try it.

This does not leave any residue and my hair looks more natural and don't have that greasy look that gel usual gives. It holds my style for the whole day and doesn't weigh it down. However the Redken pomade makes your hair looks great with a slight shine with no sticky or oily feeling. It's smells great and gives your hair a fresh clean scent. I can still push it around and maintain a good look. It's not greasy and doesn't really have a smell, which I don't want. My hair is about two inches on top which I part and push to the side ... works like a charm!

Good: it wasn't greasy, it held for a long time, it didn't have a smell. Bad: wouldn't be a good starter routine. I've tried using it on both damp and dry hair and I do suggest applying it on damp. Its more manageable this way and would not stick out and looks crunchy as if you used gel.

I've been using Get Groomed for years, now discontinued. Cream Pomade was suggested as "next best". The hold is ok, light and it lasts all day , but there is no finish to it. Not even a little shine. I am trying to work with it but feel like a cream product would be easier.

I'm so disappointed in the new version of the cream pomade. The prior version with the tin lid had a significantly different texture and performance. The new version is more liquid and does not hold up as well. Obviously, it's a new formula and it's not nearly as good.
