TEXTURE PASTE

I tried this product for straightening my own hair, which is in general a little wavy and frizzy. It works well for that (and a little goes a long way). My son is trying out all kinds of new hairstyles to find what he likes best, so I gave this to him to try and he was really able to do some fun (and interesting lol) styles. It held all day, even on a sweaty pre-teen. Not too heavy or noticeable in the hair. We will continue to use it!

Frankly, it talks about texturing and dimension a lot but for me I didn't see a benefit to using this product. Initially, I could not get the product to dispense. I had to give it a push start at the bottom to get the flow working. The bottle I received was a bright blue color with white lettering in the back. I read over the bottle multiple times and sadly was left no clearer understanding as to what the product did from the first time I read it. I actually Googled the word "texturing" in my attempt understand the purpose of this paste. Moreover, the word font used for the description located in the back of the bottle is super duper small. The actual paste is white and you dispense it in your hands then distribute it by combing through your hair.

This texture paste is perfect for giving wavy/curly hair just the right amount of definition while also taming your hair during humid days. It's easy to use by simply applying a small amount in your hands and then running your fingers through your hair. Just make sure to not apply too much or your hair will become sticky. My hair smells great and has all day hold without being weighed down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I probably am not using this product in the most traditional way as I have hair that is almost so long I can sit on it and naturally very straight. But having hair this long and keeping it healthy means a lot of braids/protective hairstyles. I put some of this in my hair before doing my French braids or Dutch braids and there is no slippage, very grippy to keep all flyaways in. My braids and low maintenance hairstyles end up looking great all day!

The smell is nice and the paste is so versatile. It can help reshape curls or sleek back hair or just provide that extra separation you want with a blow dry. I use it to style my boys hair, as well! I would buy this again for sure.

I started with just a pea sized amount and if I needed more for the back I would use a little more. It held the hair in place very well. One time I used it and then curled my hair and it made my curls last all day and not fall down or feel heavy. It did make my hair feel a little dry I think.

I usually straighten my hair because I do not like the look of my hair after putting the products in it needed to define my curls, but this stuff does a great job defining the curls without making it look like I have a ton of product.

It makes my babyhair look nice and natural. It doesn't leave a residue which is wonderful. It holds and stays put until you wash your hair again. I would buy this and recommend definitely. This product is very light weight and works wonders. It holds and keep your hair smooth with no fly aways. I would definitely purchase it again.

I appreciate the medium level of hold that doesn't make my hair feel too crunchy like other gels. My husband has actually been using the paste more than I have and his hair has been looking consistently good!

With that being said, he probably just used too much. All 3 of the products have been very useful and I use all of them a couple of times a week! Very much recommended!

The paste looks and feels a bit foamy, and it has a faint scent which really made me feel fresh. You can use it both on dry or wet hair. I usually applied it in my towel dried hair, and when my hair dried completely it had that amazing definition. I have a bit of a dry, frizzy, curly hair, and the texturizing hair paste from Redken was exactly the right product for me and my hair. It hold the hair form without making it stiff, and my hair had the same look all day long. I love that the paste gently decreases the frizziness all the while making the hair hold the style I originally intended. Only a small amount was enough for my shoulder length hair, and I think one tube will last for a long time for me. I would definitely recommend to anyone who has frizzy hair and is looking for a gentle yet effective product to have that mane in check.

I was even able to style my Sons hair with this product. It's amazing! Another pro is it doesn't leave a white cast over the hair like brands have in the past.

It leaves his hair intact but does t give it that hard shiny look. It's more natural. I like it and his hair looks better with it than gel! Would recommend! 10/10!
