Highly recommend for straight and fine hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I want to say I LOVE the scent! The smell is delight, fresh and it lasts so long on my hair.
Second, the product is so good! My hair is typical straight Asian hair. I've tried so many hair spray in the past, but none of them has a strong hold as Redken Beach Spray. I spray the product on my dry hair and wait a few minutes before start styling. Once it dries up, my hair is so smooth and wavy and it doesn't feel crunchy at all. It just looks so natural and soft. After 8 hours, I can still see my curls, which never happens before! So if you have straight hair and want to have beautiful curls all day, I would recommend this product. ❤️

Very easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised at how easy to use the Redken Beach Spray was. I just sprayed it into my damp hair after showering and that was it. No scrunching, no tools, no extra products and I immediately saw my hair picking up curl while still wet. The spray is easy to use at any angle and it is lightweight and has a fresh, clean perfumey scent that is pleasant but not overpowering and only lasts while spraying. Once my hair was dry, I got comments about whether I had used a curling iron, that's how defined my hair was. It has a bit of a dried gel product feel, so it holds the style but still looks natural. I will definitely keep using this on wash and go days.

This is an OK product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free to try in exchange for an honest review. I received the Redken beach spray. I have naturally curly hair (3b-3c) and always love to use a texturizing product to enhance the curls. I sprayed this beach spray on my damp hair and styled it as usual. While diffusing my hair I noticed my hair felt extremely sticky and caused more frizz than I normally have. It did enhance my curls some and also noticed my curls stayed better throughout the day. I'm not sure if this product would work better for straight or wavy hair. Although there were some pros to this product, I don't think I will continue to use it and pass it along to a friend with straight or wavy hair.

I would repurchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The beach spray is awesome! At first I over sprayed so my hair was a weird texture. It didn't get crunchy like other brands I've used. It just felt rough to brush through and didn't lay nicely. I tried it again with less spray and I loved it!! My hair is pretty straight but the spray gave me a nice wave. I sprayed it on almost dry hair, scrunched with my hand and blasted with a hair dryer. That was favorite way to use it. I did also use it for a pony tail and messy bun. It gave good texture and volume. Also used it on my niece for French braids! Overall I love it and use it often. I wish the scent was better! It doesn't smell bad but I love that beach up scent some sprays have.

Beach Waves on Work Days!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Redken Beach Spray and I was eager to try it. I recently had 10 inches cut off my hair and I was ready!! I wrapped my medium length hair in a towel for 20 mins, brushed thru it and Sprayed the Beach Spray all over my hair, including underneath and a little at the scalp at top, hoping for a lil lift. OMG I hated how my hair felt after putting product in....but was running late and had to go. Rode to work with my window partly down and when I got to work I ran in the bathroom to see the disaster that was surly to be evident in the mirror! NOPE! My hair was beautiful! So natural. AND SUPER SOFT! I am in LOVE!
ONLY downside is the feel on wet hair. Just my opinion.

Beach in a Bottle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Redkin Beach Spray for a couple of weeks now and all I can say is WOW! I have used a lot of different brands of beach spray the last few years with lackluster results, so I was really surprised if how well this spray works. I spray this in my hair after shampooing and wait until my hair is about 2/3rds dry. My hair is naturally a loose curl, so it needs help for my curls to lock together. It doesn't leave a sticky residue in my hair and my hair is still soft until I use my hairspray. I recieved this bottle for free in exchange for my honest review. Thank you Redkin and BzzAgent!

Not for my long hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Redken Beach Spray as part of a promotion for my review. I was looking for something that would help me with my wavy hair. I either straighten my hair or curl my hair. After washing my hair, I let it air dry which is the way I prefer for less frizz. I use the spray which smells very good, by the way in my opinion. I worked it into my hair and combed it out with my fingers. While my hair was drying every once in a while I would crunch the hair for definition. Maybe my hair is too long but I can't say that I would use this again the end result was kinda Ugh. It did not leave my hair crunchy or flaky, so I was able to still style it the way I liked it for the next couple days.

Just as expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product on damp hair. Then blow dry, styled it. I have a short pixie cut for reference. Redken has amazing products and I currently use multiple Redken items. However, for my hair this was a no go. It definitely gave the texture and "rough" feeling. And I was able to manipulate my hair with some ease into a style I liked. It took a bit to figure out how much to use. I think this product is better suited for hairstyles that can have the time to air dry or even better suited for longer hair. I didn't hate it, just didn't care for the "feeling" of my hair with this product in it.

Beautiful bouncy curls.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Redken Beach Spray free through BzzCampaign for my honest review of the product. I used this product as directed on damp hair. I sprayed it all over my wavy hair and then turned my head upside down and scrunched my my hair to get the most curls out of it without having to use a diffuser. As you can see from my pictures of my dry hair without product, just washed hair, hair wanted and brushed and hair after half the product and scrunched up, the product makes gorgeous curls out of wavy hair. The only thing I was disappointed in was the smell of the product. With it being called Beach Spray, I would had hoped for a more pleasant scent and less chemical smell to it.

A Day At The Beach?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of this spray just not the execution. The directions are pretty straightforward and simple. You spray on either damp air and diffuse dry or air dry. I used my diffuser since I never air dry and scrunched my hair as I blow dried it. It is slightly sticky but that's not unexpected since it needs texture to make the hair wavy. This made my hair look messy, unkempt and not as smooth and refined as I would've liked. This is perhaps better if you air dry it to get the natural, beachy waves. Not a dealbreaker in general but considering the product, it would be nice if it smelled like coconut or somewhat fruity for a sensory fun in the sun experience. Again, that's just my opinion.

Good for Hair with Curl/Body

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm going to start by saying "I HAVE PIN STRAIGHT HAIR". Over the last few years when my hair was wet, I noticed it would have a slight wave to it, but once air dried it would straighten out. I would like to keep those waves so I was interested in trying the Redken Beach Spray. It held for a bit but eventually went flat. There is a pasty touch to it when first applied to the hair and then gets stiff once dried. Even a day later hair unwashed it still would have a weird texture to it instead of smooth. This may be better to use on someone with body to their hair that can hold a wave/curl

Great product, Just not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have naturally wavy, fine, frizzy hair. I was hoping for this product to define my waves and calm the frizz. This was my first time trying a wave spray and I was a little disappointed by the results. Although it smelled great, this product left my hair feeling dry and stringy. It did give my hair body and decrease my frizz though. So it is not all a loss. I think this product would work better for someone with thicker hair. Therefore I gave it three stars because I'm sure it works, it's just not for my type of hair.

I have very silky and sleek straight hair so I was a bit worried that this product wouldn't hold without using hair spray but I was surprised with how well the waves held. I wouldn't say this spray is good for holding any tight curls but it definitely kept my waves for a whole day. I used a triple barrel "waver" and used this spray after. I did notice that it's important to spray at least 6 inches away from the hair or else it tends to leave your hair crunchy. But when used correctly, it's perfect! The smell is amazing too and I wanted to use it as a hair perfume!! *This product was given to me for free in exchange for a review*

Disappointing Beach Waves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had much luck with beach wave sprays but was very hopeful this one would be different. I have thick naturally wavy hair. To begin with, I thought the product would have a more "beach" smell than chemical. It wasn't an unpleasant smell just not what I was expecting. I read the directions and applied to my damp hair. I try not to heat dry my hair so allowed it to finish drying naturally. This product was heavy in my hair and left it frizzy, knotty, crusty feeling, and hard to style (like pull into a ponytail). I had to wash my hair the next day - which I usually only wash every 3 days. I have more luck creating beach waves with letting my hair dry naturally in braids than using this product.

Not the best for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I'll start with what I did like the spray. It comes in a durable, non-aerosol spray bottle that's just the right size. Not too big or small. It also smells great! It's easy to apply and left my hair feeling just as soft as before. Because it's not made with sea-salt, it didn't damage or dry out my hair and it didn't make it crunchy or stringy.
Unfortunately, the product didn't work well for me. I'm sure someone else would have better results. My hair is long, straight and fine and doesn't hold hairdos well. I also prefer to air dry. The texture difference was minimal. I also don't love the ingredient blend. I'm trying to use cleaner products and I felt like the ingredient list could be made safer.

"Redken Beach Spray" The Spritz & Spray Genius!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have long, thick, rather straight hair, and this Redken Beach Spray was perfect for keeping the texture all day long.
Although I would suggest not over using it too much, or it will leave your hair feeling a bit sticky/greasy.
But............
After I got the right balance of just how much to use, of my Redken Beach Spray.... I was absolutely impressed, with how it gave my hair just the right amount of wave, and a nice textured look without weighing my hair down like some of the other products.
The only thing I really did not care for, was the smell all that much....honestly it could be better,and more appealing.
Other than that, this is a fabulous product, that I would definitely recommend to others.

Long lasting waves

It is light weight so it won't weigh down your waves and has almost a hairspray long lasting affect. This is a bit different from other beach sprays in that it keeps your waves in place and doesn't have that salty sea feeling to your hair that others have. There is virtually no scent, which for me is a super must. I really don't like my hair products to overtake the scent of my shampoo and conditioner. If you are looking for a tousled look and have a natural wave, this product is definitely a must.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I'm happy with this spray. It doesn't have an overwhelming scent or feel too heavy or sticky in my hair. I sprayed on damp hair and scrunched up my hair to ensure even distribution- once it air dries you definitely have some light beachy texture/waves. If you want it to be super wavy, I would lightly crimp the hair or put hair in a bun for a short period of time. The only thing to be aware of is not to focus too much product in one area, because it will dry hard/crunchy - you really want to make sure to do a fine mist and evenly distribute and work the product in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied the Redken Beach Spray to my hair while it was wet. After applying the product, my hair felt really strange as well as making it extremely stiff. In addition it made my hair very dry. I did not think it would zap the life out of my hair like it did. However, it did add to the curl and lift to make it have more volume. I do not like how it makes my hair feel though. I need lots of a moisturizing product to be added to my hair in order to offset the use of the Redken product. The fragrance is overbearing and too strong when initially applying it but it does dissipate after a while. I do not think this product works well with my hair type.

Great product, just a small bottle for a big price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went through a phase of using sea salt sprays to texture my hair, but these were expensive, and I eventually ended up making my own for a fraction of the price. The problem with regular use of sea salt products is that they dry your hair out, and end up making it brittle. This product is sea salt free, and instead contains a number of elements to hold hair in place, whilst also conditioning, and nourishing it. I was sceptical it would work as well as sea salt spray, but I'm really impressed. It doesn't leave hair feeling sticky, or unnatural, and holds a style/wave just as well, for just as long. You apply it to wet hair, massage through, and leave to air dry. It's simple, really effective, and I love the product.

Perfect for waves

It doesn't have a smell, doesn't give my hair that crunchy feeling, and doesn't leave residue/buildup. I used this spray on clean damp hair (the shorter front pieces) after spraying my hair all over with primer spray. The pieces I spritzed with the beach spray air dried much wavier than pieces of my hair that I didn't. It only takes a couple sprays to get the desired effect. For reference my hair typically dries barely wavy. This would be perfect to pair with a curler for beach waves or scrunching!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Naturally, I lean more towards mousse when I'm trying to achieve waves in my hair but when I was sent the Redken Beach spray, I was eager to try it. I've tried various brands of salt/beach sprays and they all leave my hair with a crunchy feeling that I don't like. With the Redken spray, I genuinely loved the smell of it, I loved the curls it gave me; but in certain sections of my hair, I had pieces that stuck together, it almost felt like I had candy in those sections. It was an easy fix-just spraying water onto those sections but overall, I did enjoy the product!

lightweight beachy look

It's lightweight, doesn't stink, does not leave a heavy, disgusting residue on my hands (when I'm working it thru) or my hair.
I used to try to attain this look using mousse and it always weighed my hair down and I had to wash my hands for a good while to get the griminess from the product off of them. And getting the mousse out of my hair was always a deterrent for me using it. This spray has been a breeze, I just use it on the mornings when I don't shampoo so that my hair is a little bit dirtier than normal so that the product works a little bit better.

I have very straight hair naturally so I didn't expect this product to give me any actual waves, but it did give me some nice added texture without weighing it down. I ended up giving it to my mom to try, who has naturally wavy hair, and it worked really well for her hair type. It gave her nice waves without frizz. If your hair is already at least slightly wavy I think this spray would work well to boost your natural texture

New to Beach Sprays - This One is a Keeper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, I was skeptical about this product - when I think of beach spray I assume my hair will be sort of sticky and untouchable (think: sandy) but I was relieved to find that was not the case wrong! I dry my hair in a frizz free wrap and then I scrunched this product into my naturally curly mop. It's a very light mister - so you don't get overwhelmed by product. It has a s soft smell. My hair looked great - a bit of texture, no frizz, and touchable curls. Definitely worth continued use. I'm happy to have gotten to try this product as a free sample.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this product today. I just sprayed some water on my hair to get it damp and then sprayed on the Beach Spray. I have long straight hair and I couldn't believe what it did. Waves appeared in front of my eyes. My hair is very hard to curl or do anything. This gave me a nice natural wave that you would get after a long day at the beach or went to a salon to get that look. It's super great and I would highly recommend. I have never seen a product like this before. Thank you Redken. I've tried other beach sprays in the past but they don't compare.

I received a free sample of Redken Beach Spray to try and I have to say this product is a game changer! I still get the loose bouncy waves I love but without the dryness that usually occurs with sea salt sprays. I especially love using this product the day after I wash my hair. It gives my hair just enough texture to look good without weighing it down. You do need to be careful to only use a small amount. Too much makes my hair a bit crunchy.

It's a fun exciting scent that lasts all day and makes me feel like summer. I used it without a diffuser the first time and it works pretty well. It adds volume and texture but is a little crunchy like a typical wave spray. Diffuser created a much softer beach wave look. Im excited to use it both ways. This summer will be perfect for a fun look when getting out of the pool or hot days when there is no way im turning on a hair dryer.

I have thin, fine and straight hair. A little bit goes a long way. Sprayed and scrunched and let it air dry. Use too much and will feel crunchy! Took a few times to figure out the correct amount for my hair. I will use on days I don't feel like blow drying/curling my hair. Pic shows hair scrunched and pulled back in a clip. Thank you Redken for the product to try! Will purchase in the future especially in the summer!

I love using this product while traveling it is the perfect size and a little bit of this product goes a long ways. I don't have to worry about losing volume or my wavys through out the days adventures. I 100% love that I can use it one my color treated hair and it doesn't dry it out. I got this product for free in exchange for my 100% honest opinion review. I recommend this product to anyone that wants to add a little volume to their hair and not lose their curls all day either.

Not Effective on Thick Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this product because I have very thick straight hair and I wanted some beachy waves. It's a pain to curl my hair so I thought this would be a good alternative to have something different. I washed my hair then used the spray. I let it dry over night. Unfortunately, it didn't do much. It only made my hair a little wavy in a few spots and honestly I felt like it just looked messy and so I ended up straightening my hair to fix it. I also didn't really care of the smell of the spray. It was disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product so much! Comparing this product to other beach sprays for you hair, this one works way better than any other brands I've tried. I can get out of the shower, pool, and even the ocean, and spray this on my hair and go about my day. It doesn't leave my hair crunchy like others do, and it gives you those beach waves that you love! This spray makes me love my hair more and give it the waves that I expect a product to give my hair. It smells amazing and I can't stop using it! Beach waves all summer for me!

My hair is naturally curly and I am constantly heat treating it to straighten. It's curly but not very course. When I wear it curly and use the appropriate products it is too kinky curly. This product helped me style my texture hair with just the look I've been trying to get! It's got loose texture and volume without flat heat treat flat straight hair. I used this product with a round brush. It smells so good!! I'm so loving this spray!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the kind of curly hair that I can't use too much conditioner or it weighs my curls down and makes them flat. But have to use often enough my hair doesn't turn into a tumbleweed and blow off my head. This is a great in between for me. I was nervous at first since it has to go on damp and sometimes product in damp hair ends up making it feel so greasy but this was great! Smells great too. It gives a solid firming feel without being too heavy and gel like. Put the spring back into flat curls very nicely!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review, so here are my honest, unequivocal thoughts.
I tried this product for a week and it didn't really do a whole lot for my hair. It did seem to give it some volume after I used the diffuser, but it has gone flat by the end of the day.
It did make my hair appear longer, which is nice. And it smell amazing! My boyfriend even commented on how great it smells.
The consistency is sticky and reminds me of hair spray. Although my hair didn't feel like it had a lot of product in it.
Even though it did not do what I was expecting, I very much like this product. It gives my hair movability with shape.
I will say the only down side is that you use a lot of the product while trying to achieve the look you want. A bigger bottle would be better.

When I needed a quick go to hairstyle I used this spray and BOOM I'm all ready to go. It also smells AMAZING! I would highly recommended this product to people that would like a beach wavy look for their hair. The only downside is if you use too much your hair can get a little crunchy. You do not need too much of the product. A little goes a long way.

A little tacky but great results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this as a "beach spray" and as a texturizing spray. I wasn't impressed with the natural, spray and go look of it. It left my hair very tacky and clumped together. Using a diffuser did nothing flattering for my thin hair either. However, I used as a texturizing spray and now dried my hair before styling with a curling wand and I'm obsessed with the results. My thin hair actually held the curl all day and there was even a little leftover bounce for a ponytail the next day.

So my hair is typically frizzy, if I just let it air dry after a shower I get decent curls... if I brush it it turns into just a frizzy mess.
I found that when I used this product right after my shower that I was then able to brush my hair and not have it turn into a frizz ball. It did leave my hair slightly crunchy as if I had used hair spray, but it wasn't that bad. Overall I will continue to use this product.
