I have tried sprays that sit in your hair when you use them but not ones you put on after you wash your hair. I hate that about this product, it really is awful • Would you buy the Redken Extreme Play Safe? nope, it weighs down my hair and it feels really gross to me. I have fine hair so this does not agree with it. • Were you aware of the Redken Extreme Play Safe before participating in this program? No I wasn't aware of this product before I product tested this. • Would you recommend the Redken Extreme Play Safe to others?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a bad experience with trying to find a leave-in hair treatment. Most products are too goopy, making your hair look stiff or oily. When I first tried the product, I thought I was dealing with the same problems. I showered and used a pump of the product on my damp hair. When my hair dried, it was stiff and sticky all day. The next day I tried it again and ensured my hair was barely wet and used about half a pump of product. My hair was soft all day, with no stiffness, and my hair was easy to work with and style. I had the same experience for the next several days and noticed that my hair had less breakage and seemed fuller and smoother than before.

I have never used this type of product before but knowing how often I blow-dry and/or curl my hair it's a shame I didn't know about it sooner! This product was extremely easy to apply after showering and was pleased to find that it didn't feel greasy or weigh down my hair. I also liked that there it was subtly scented but not overpowering. After blow drying, my hair felt soft, a bit more voluminous and had a nice health sheen to it. I highly recommend this product to those of us who regularly use some form of heat to style their hair.

This is my first time trying Redken Extreme Play Safe and I have fallen in love. After using this my hair is silky, smooth and looks amazing. Not to mention that my hair feels and looks nourished and healthy. ExtremePlay Safe is something I never knew I needed, but now can't live without. The smell of this product is mesmerizing. My kids and Hubby cant stop telling me how good my hair looks and smells. Thanks redken for a new favorite product! I am spreading the word of my love. Everyone needs this in their lives.....go get it...now!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hadn't used many Redken products before trying this - I have wavy hair with lots of volume (I.e. frizz) so I tend to be very particular about styling products. I usually use Kristin Ess blow dry spray or the Beauty Protector line. But this product so delivered. Appreciated that it called out a specific heat protection level - 450 degrees. It gave my hair softness and body and avoided any heavy or greasy feeling. Soft, controlled hair is no easy feat with my waves. The scent was subtle - a clean, sweet scent. Really happy with this as an everyday styling tool - and knowing it's protecting my hair, too!

I really love that it makes my hair smell great! The product is a nice smooth texture that easily blends into my hair. I tried it on it's own first, and while my hair was protected from my straightener, it didn't make my hair LOOK any different. I've been using Extreme Play Safe in addition to my normal products and I've been very impressed. This is a great product to add to your lineup for heat protection and scent. I would recommend this to anyone who uses hot tools for styling their hair.

One of the things that I love most is that it leaves my hair feeling very silky and hydrated, not crunchy or greasy like a lot of others. Because of that, this can even be used without heat in my opinion. I like to use it on days when I air dry my hair because it makes my hair feel more conditioned, soft, and even helps define my waves. It has a subtle scent that is really nice and fresh. This is one of those products that I couldn't recommend more, and definitely plan on purchasing again when I run out!

I have really fine hair and sometimes products can weigh my hair down when they are meant to protect it. The first time I tried this Redken product, I used too much and it weighed my hair down. It was also really humid outside, which didn't help. I learned one pump was enough to use on my fine hair - I rake it through my hair when it's about 70% dry and it works so well that it gives me second day hair! My hair stays straight for two days in a row, even in really hot, humid weather. I love this product!!
