Amazing After Shower product!! I ran out of this product, but I use it until it was empty. This cream is amazing, I put it in my hair after I take a shower and then let it air dry. My hair is supper frizzy, I basically have a mid-afro. This product helps control my hair. A little goes a long way, and this product lasted me a very long deal. This helps keep your hair nice and curly while eliminating all of the frizz for free and makes it veryyy softt!! *My hair is still frizzy after I use this after my hair air dries, then I put oil in it the next day and it looks amazing. I also deep conditioning & hair mask. I only wash my hair once a week.

Smells awful, original 07 was superior.

Redken has a habit of taking something good, and discontinuing or ruining it. Original Ringlet was fab. A rather unique gel-cream product. This new Curvaceous line smells awful and powerful. At least Fresh Curls smelled nice. New Ringlet doesn't even work as good at the original. Reformulate this stuff back to the original version, and reformulate your entire awful Curvaceous line of products. No one really likes them, they use them because it's all they have available for curls in the salon. I won't use it, the smell is overpowering and clients don't like it. I specifically ask my personal stylist to not use any of the line on my hair.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Waste of money

After about a year with straight hair, I decided to go back to curls, which as another reviewer stated, make me look younger, as well as active. I had one Ringlet 7 left and so went to get some more. So surprised and disappointed to find it's been discontinued. A check online found it but with major price gouging. I tried any number of products before finding Ringlet 7 and all were worthless. I thought I would try the alleged replacement and found it to be totally unsatisfactory - annoying odor, poor hold on the curves, just generally didn't work. Now for another trial and error period in the hopes of finding something that works well.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Please bring back Redken Curvaceous Ringlet!

This is the best curl product and I have been using it for years. I am beyond disappointed that Redken has discontinued Curvaceous Ringlet. I tried the replacement product one time and immediately returned it. It felt gross and my hair looked dirty and weighed down. I couldn't even stand for my hair to touch my face and it made me break out. Curvaceous Ringlet perfectly holds your curls without being crunchy or weighed down and gives great lightweight clean feeling volume that didn't affect my sensitive skin, either. I have soft, loose curls and can not use a heavy product. PLEASE BRING BACK REDKEN CURVACEOUS RINGLET!!!!!! Your customers are begging!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    YUCK!

Redken, why did you reformulate your curly hair products? The new smell is so overpowering and offensive I returned the 2 products I purchased after one use. I detest strong smelling personal hygiene products. I like to wear expensive perfume and I don't want my hair products to compete with the perfume. The new smell has a hint of coconut, or at least that's what I smell. ICK! I purchased the products that replaced 1) ringlet 07 and 2) Fresh Curls Curl Boost. The new products left my hair greasy looking and smelling so horrible I had to wash it out. PLEASE REINSTATE the original Ringlet 07 and Fresh Curls Curl Boost. Thank you.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Ditto on the reviews that express that Curvaceous is the only hair product, after trying many other brands, that has worked brilliantly on my thinning, curly locks! it tics off all the boxes for seriously curly hair! The pictures in reviews that spoke negatively of the product looked to me like they were people who were expecting for Curvaceous to secure what wave they may or may not have. At any rate, I'm extremely frustrated that you (Redkin) have made the decision to discontinue Curvaceous! What has replaced it that is better? Let us die-hards know! BTW, If you have a pallet of Curvaceous laying around the warehouse to get rid of, please contact me A.S.A.P.

    Dislike the new fragrance.

Ringlet 07 (grey container) was one of my favorite salon products for my curls. I recent purchased the Curvaceous Ringlet in the new blue container and was told by the stylist that the product had recently received a package redesign. It doesn't really matter to me what color the bottle is, although I do like the new blue. Unfortunately, the fragrance of the product was changed as well. The new scent is overwhelming strong and smells like cheap men's cologne. The scent gave me a headache the first time I used it. I wonder if I can return the bottle. It was an unfortunate, expensive and quite disappointing waste of money.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Redken removed all quality, for profits I presume.

I ordered "Ringlet 07" from Walmart; the bottle said it was Ringle 07. Ringlet 07's original ingredients were listed on the bottle as well. I asked customer service prior to placing my order whether this was Ringlet 07, or a replacement product. I was assured it was Ringlet 07. The new product is not curvaceous or anti frizz at all. It is garbage. Redken should be boycotted for such disreguard and fraudulent treatment of their longtime customers. Redken can only redeem themselves by going back to the formula that actually worked for their customers. I can only assume that the "change" of Redken product was purely for profit. I give this product a zero for quality.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      Newest Ringlet product

I have very curly hair and it's difficult to find a product that works for me. Years ago, I used Redken Solid Water and then it was discontinued. I started using a very lightweight Redken gel whose name I can't remember. It was a good product and then it disappeared. Then I tried Ringlet 07 and it was perfect. Now it is gone too. I tried that new Ringlet product and I didn't like it at all. It reeked and the results were completely different, like putting lotion in my hair. I use a different brand now but I'd switch back to Ringlet 07 if it reappeared. If all these reviews mean anything, maybe it will be restored.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Please bring the old curly hair product back!

My daughter is mixed and products for her hair type are far and few. She has my fine hair, but her father's dry, tight curly hair. I used thed Redken Fresh Curl Refiner for yrs and absolutely loved it! I've used the new line for curly hair (this line) and am so disappointed. Her curls don't have bounce like before, they friz within hours, and look so dull. I honestly have been using Paul Mitchell's line for curly hair and find that this product does way better than the new Redken line. I wish you'd bring back the old line for curly hair. I use Redken for myself still, but am changing over for my daughter. Bummer.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not as bad as everyone says....

I felt compelled to write a review to provide balance with the negative reviews. I use this product on wet hair right out of the shower and it helps give definition to my curls. I also use a curl defining spray for more stay (especially in the humid Chicago summer). I don't have a problem with the smell, it's subtle and I can't detect it once my hair is dry. In the past, I also used the Ringlet 07 and agree with others that the formula was better because it had more staying power. That being said, this is still a good product for curly hair. I like how light it is and how it doesn't leave any crunchiness behind.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

This was my first curly hair product I used on my hair and I used to LOOVE it, when I was a young teen. Now that I am older and my hair has changed I don’t feel like it gives me the hydration I need. It smells great, lightweight. I think this a great product just not for me anymore. My curly hair girls if you’re just starting and don’t know what works and what does not I do recommend trying this out Redken Curvaceous Full Swirl Curly & Wavy Hair Cream Serum is another one I used to really like the Redken Curvaceous line is worth the try! Everyone’s curls are different and have different needs! Recommend!

I want to add my voice to all those asking Redken to bring back the original Ringlet 07. The new version is terrible! Why would you discontinue a product that everyone loved? As the saying goes.............."if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" When I realized that it was no longer available, I purchased as many bottles as I could get my hands on. My hairdresser tells me she knows a lot of people who would pay me big money for even one bottle..................but there is no way I am tempted to sell. Maybe you should survey the people who buy your products rather than listening to the marketing people!

I have been using number 07 Ringlet for years and it is the ONLY product that worked for my curly hair. The curvaceous is terrible!!!! No frizz control whatsoever and no curl defining either! I also tried Curvaceous Full Swirl, paid $20 for it and used it once because it was like putting wax in my hair...another terrible product! I came across a 07 Ringlet "new formula" in Duane Reade and grabbed it and it was great, but I haven't seen another one...I think I just got lucky. Hesitant to buy the 07 from a discount site as I'm not sure it will be real or not...WHY WOULD REDKEN DISCONTINUE SUCH A POPULAR AND EFFECTIVE PRODUCT??? I told my hair stylist today as she always used this and she flipped!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

YOU GUYS. My mom has been using Redken (I've always referred to it by the number on the packaging or "the green kind") for years now. We both have naturally curly hair and every Redken product we've used (for curls/waves) have been amazing!! Specifically, the Curvaceous Ringlet lotion does wonders for taming our frizz and helping our natural curl to come out. This is such a lite product that if used sparingly leaves your hair beautifully wavy with a little shine and no crunch! A few pumps combed through my damp hair with just my fingers is such an easy way to get beautiful natural curl.

I normally use Dove Mousse on my hair. My hair is light, defined, and I can get by without washing it for a day or two. I already use the Redken Curvaceous shampoo and conditioner, which smell nice but I'm not sure if they're better than other shampoos and conditioners I've used. I tried the ringlet product this morning. My hair had been towel dried the way I normally do it, and then I used two pumps of this product on my hair. It's silky, distributed evenly, and then I lightly diffused it so my hair was partway dry. Then I went to work. The second and third picture are how my hair look. It's fine. I prefer how my hair normally looks, but if you want a very loose, slightly 80s look, this is the product for you.

You only seem to respond to the negative reviews, which is why I only gave this product 1 star. You don't respond to the over 200 reviews that are positive because they love this product. So do I. I have been using Redken Ringlet for about 35 years...maybe more. It was the best thing for my curly hair. I'm still using it because I "hoarded" a bunch of bottles when I feared it would be discontinued. I hope that I don't run out before you return this product to your lineup. Why did you discontinue it? I've tried some of your new curly hair products...but they don't work on my hair...they seem to be formulated for people with coarse and/or frizzy hair. I don't have that kind of hair...and ringlet worked for me.

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out about our Ringlet 07 Curl Perfecting Lotion. We truly appreciate customers like you. This makes your curls SUPER SOFT with a little bit of product going such a long way! As my hair needs some help with definition what with being so heat damaged (been transitioning for just over a year now) I do require something that sets the curls. This isn’t the best at setting my curls or aiding them in staying curly, nor does it with stand diffuser heat as well as other hair smoothies or puddings. How ever I always use this product after I’ve diffused to combat the halo frizz and it is amazing for that, as well as giving them a refreshing shine on 2nd day curls.

      Avoid

I agree with others. My naturally curly hair thrived on ringlet 07 - now discontinued. The replacement curvaceous was disastrous leaving my hair sticky, not curl defined, smelly. It is hard these days having naturally curly hair as everything seems geared to hair straighteners, so the loss of a really good product is not at all good. I am struggling to find something as good, and as these products are not cheap, I've had to dump six other tried products at considerable cost. Why can't you just bring back the original Redken ringlet 07 curl perfecting lotion - why?

No, I do not recommend this product.

New Curvaceous line not what I'm looking for!!

After straightening my hair for too long, I finally went back to my naturally curly hair. I still had half a bottle of Fresh Curls Spin Control from before and starting using it again. After that ran out, I could not find it at any salon. I checked out the new Curvaceous line and it's horrible!! The smell is offensive, it's heavy on my hair, it just DOES NOT give the same results as the Fresh Curls. Seriously Redken, WHY would you want to change a good thing?? Please go back to original formula. Otherwise, I am no longer a customer of your product.

I am so sad that this product is discontinued. Please please reconsider this product has been the only product that has worked for me. This product is unlike any other in the best way possible. I was a little girl with blond curly hair and nobody to help me maintain it, one lovely hair professional helped me and gave me this product and many many years later I have stayed loyal to it. I have tried so may products and nothing is comparable to this one I beg you redken or any redken worked for all curly haired people around please bring this back!!!

First you got rid of Fresh Curls, which was awesome, and replaced it with Ringlet 07 (smaller bottle than the tube of Fresh Curls, but ok). Now yet another "product" and this one is just ..... bad. It smells, is way too heavy for fine hair, and actuallh leaves my hair feeling greasy. I have been an avid fan and user for years, but it was hard enough after the move to Ringlet 07. Why break something that doesn't need to be fixed? Based on other comments, I'm not alone. It's really too bad; we curlies find a product that works great and are loyal.

      Offended and disappointed

I used to use Ringlet 07 and it was the absolute best product for curly hair I have ever used. HOWEVER, I bought this product and it's just awful. I my hair looks better with nothing it in than it does after I put this in. All my curls fall flat and it looks like I just rolled out of bed. It literally does the opposite of the description: it removes all definition from my curls and makes my hair frizzy. I'm so disappointed because I can't afford to be spending money on products that I expect to be excellent just to have them be worthless and sit on my shelf. I only even spent the money because I trusted Redken to be excellent! I'm sad that I spent money on this and I'm sad that I will never have the hair I did when I used the original formula.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      Bring Back Curvaceous Ringlet!

This is the only product that I have ever found that worked on my curls without my hair feeling as if there is a product in it. I have tried the new products and they are nothing like this one. The new products have a scent and you can feel that there in something in your hair. Can't refresh my curls for several days like I could with Ringlet. I have used this product for 10+ years. I have been searching for a replacement product and nothing compares. I'm tired of searching and I'm in mourning as well!!! Bring it back, please!!!

      Yes, I recommend this product.

I wish I could give this a no star rating. I do not understand why Redken does not go back to original formula with the horrible ratings here and all over the web. I have called them and they stated that they take customer feedback seriously. Does not look like it. I purchase the curvaceous at a salon so they cannot use the excuse that it was bad because it was not authentic. PLEASE make the original formula again. People are scalping it on Amazon and Ebay. That says something when people are willing to pay $40 for a $20 product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      A Hit and a Miss!

I used to use the fresh curls line before it was discontinued. It kept my curly, frizzy hair defined and controlled. Since I had good experiences with Redken products in the past, I decided to two of the curvaceous products at the recommendation of my hairstylist. I bought curvaceous ringlet and full swirl both from a Redken salon, so I was assured I was getting real Redken products. I have been using them both for about two weeks and am very disappointed. The scent is strong and overpowering unlike the fresh curls line, and neither of the products I both provided enough definition and little to no help with frizz. While the price was worth it with the old line, it is too much money for products that don’t give good results! Bring back the old line! Please!

No, I do not recommend this product.

      PLEASE BRING RINGLET BACK ASAP!!!

PLEASE Make Your Consumers HAPPY and BRING BACK the Curvaceous Products, ESPECIALLY the RINGLET cream. I have been using it for as long as I can remember (at least 10 years) and it is the ONLY product that works on my natural curls. I have tried the new curl cream and could not have been more disappointed in the product. It is awful on my hair. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS! I was so very HAPPY with Ringlet and the Wind Up Spritz. I would LOVE to have them both back, but I cannot live without the Ringlet cream!!!!!!!!!!!

      Terrible Smell!

I never used other Redken products, so can't compare the Curvaceous Ringlet to earlier curl products. However, although I really like the way this works on my medium-curly hair, and it leave my hair shiny and soft, the smell is really horrible. It smells like animal musk with an acrid edge that reminds me of sweat. I really hope it wears off as it dries; otherwise people will think that I really need to take a shower. But I'm nervous other people can smell it on me. The smell is almost enough to make me stop using it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have literally been using this product for 18 years, my whole curly-hair life. Like so many curly girls, I had no idea how to style my hair for most of my childhood, but at 13 I found a curl mentor and never looked back. This product was the first one recommended to me when I got my first curly haircut, and it was a game changer. Over the years, I have experimented with different styling techniques, brushes, conditioners, and all kinds of products, but no matter what I would always come back to my beloved Ringlet.

The ONLY thing that's worked for me!

I just don't understand the lackluster reviews for this product. I have one strange little area of my African American, naturally curly, type 3–4 hair that is in a state of constant frizziness, despite regular trims. I purchased a trial size of this product and used it and I have beautiful corkscrew curly definition all over, to include the stubborn formally frizzy area. Absolutely no other product claiming to tame frizz has worked for me to date, and I've been through them all, I'll bet. I'm definitely a beliver!

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      Holy Grail Curly Hair Product!

I love this product! I feel that this formula is better than the old formula. The smell of this product is amazing I also like how this product is very lightweight, and gives soft control. Redken curvaceous ringlet also doesn't dry my hair out and gives a great healthy shine and defined curls. For reference i have between a 3A/3B curl so basically I have naturally curly hair with spiral curls and a few ringlet curls mixed in. In addition to that this product definitely gets rid of frizz which is a definite plus!

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      No comparison!

I have been using Redken Ringlet07 for years and LOVE that product. I have very curly hair and it took me forever to find a product that did not weigh your hair down. It also did not give the crunchy feel that other gels and mouses give your hair. This one was PERFECT! I am so very disappointed to find out that it has been discontinued. I am currently using the new curvaceous ringlet, but it does not compare. It weighs your hair down so much more and is more watery in your hands. I want Ringlet07 back please!!!

      Best Curly Hair Product!

I LOVE this product! I’ve been using it for at least 15 years and my curls need this! As a professional hairstylist I’ve seen and used a lot of products! This one doesn’t leave any crunchy or product feel to the hair! Keeps curls light and bouncy! I apply a quarter size amount to towel dried hair and add more if necessary! You can put way too much in one spot and you’ll never be able to tell! This is a very forgiving styling product for men and women! Keeps the frizz and “poofy-ness” down while defining untamed curls! Great as a product for people who like to air dry! I always recommend diffusing curly hair to achieve the best volume and movement! Redken has perfected this product! By far the best of the curvaceous line! I like to mix this with other products as well! Highly recommend!

      What a disappointment!

Used the original Ringlet 07 for several years! Had received many compliments on my curly hair from people asking who my hairdresser was to comments about how much younger the curls made me look. Redken's Curvaceous ringlet, the replacement product, not only seems to flatten and frizz my hair, but it stinks as well and triggers my allergies. My hairdresser traded it for another product but nothing has come close to the Ringlet 07. Please listen to your customers and bring it back!

      If It Ain't Broke . . .

I agree with everyone else. The only reason I am writing a review is the hope that the number of people who despise the new product and its smell will encourage you to rethink your marketing and bring back the 07. It is the only product that brought down my frizz and made perfect curls. The new product smells like Calvin Klein Obsession from the 80s - tired, heavy, and overpowering. I will never buy curvaceous and am now left without a good haircare product. Bring back 07!

      Terribly disappointed!

I have been using the original Redken 07 ringlet for years! I have bi-racial hair and that is the only thing that has tamed "the beast"! My hair stylist brought me the new curvaceous ringlet and although it smells amazing I am allergic to it. There is one new ingredient in this product that the original Redken 07 Ringlet that breaks me out and makes me itchy. I really wish you would bring back the other one! I cant find anything that compares to the original!

No, I do not recommend this product.

      Best curly hair product ever!

I have used ringlet forever!…the only hair product that I consider irreplaceable…I have tried the whole bottle of the new product out of desperation…I truly dislike it…it makes me very sad to have to move on to other brands after loving ringlet for so long…but I just can’t use this new product…makes my curls weighed down and “sticky” feeling…I would be so happy if ringlet returned…so would my hair salon…that is where I purchased it. Please bring it back!

      Yes, I recommend this product.

I have been using this for almost 20 years now. I have tried tons of other products over the years to see if anything compared and nothing came close. It's absolutely rediculous that Redkin discontinued it. You should see hiw much this stuff goes for on ebay and other sites now. There's clearly a demand for the product still. And all over the internet I see women complaining about the priduct being discontinued. Redkin should really reconsider.

      Yes, I recommend this product.
