Acidic Grow Full System Instant Densifying Hair Spray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Redken Acidic Grow Full System Instant Densifying Spray as a courtesy to test and review. This spray has the same Lemonchello scent as the rest of the system. The bottle has a nice spray function with a locking and unlocking tab which is great for travel. This Densifying spray feels and acts to me like a sea salt spray. While wet, this product is slightly tacky and once dried, feels like the hair has a gritty almost texture to it. This threw me off a bit as the Redken products are usually soft and clean feeling to me. I am excited to see the after affects after use over time.

Not only is my hair thin and flat, it is also damaged from tons of dye and a little bleaching in the last year. It’s been rough on my hair for sure. So far, the main thing I have noticed is how GORGEOUS my hair looks after using this system and then blow drying and styling it! I will also update the review with pics of my hair when I do that as well. I believe my hair has become stronger, but as I said, it’s still too soon to tell how well it is working. But so far, I love the ease of use of the system and the ingredients! Azelaic acid in haircare?! Yes, please!

The scent is not overwhelming which I appreciate. I like using it before blow-drying, but even on dry hair it gives a nice boost. The locking mechanism on the bottle is useful for making sure it doesn't spray when you're traveling and I don't think I've ever seen another hair product with a little toggle to lock the lever, so I thought that was pretty cool. I feel like this product, which happens to be step 4, is the only one that makes a noticeable difference in my hair. I could do without the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. In fact, I've used this densifying spray after using regular shampoo instead of the rest of the Acidic Grow line and still had good results.

Nice size bottle with a closing mechanism so it won’t spray out into your shower bag at college or when going on vacation. It dries super fast but the consistency was kind of slimy. It has a pleasant clean scent. The instructions weren’t very clear but I assumed that you spray it on your roots and rub in the help strengthen your hair and promote growth. I didn’t see any visible results after two weeks of use every single day. It left my hair a little crunchy.. my hair density didn’t seem to change. Great value but wouldn’t purchase.

I love that included heat protection too, so it’s perfect if you style your hair often. Overall, it makes the hair looks fuller thicker, feel healthier and stay light and bouncy.

I typically have very thin hair and it is very hard to give it any movement. While using instant densifying spray I was able to achieve a little bit more length and a little bit more volume. Simple to use after the shower and doesn't dry out my scalp like some products. Spray nozzle held up well, I ended up wiping it off after use but it only took me a second to make sure there was no buildup on the nozzle. A nice fine mist helps to make even distribution of the product in my hair. Definitely a good system.
