Adds texture to the hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Redken Acidic Grow Full System Instant Densifying Spray as a courtesy to test and review. This spray has the same Lemonchello scent as the rest of the system. The bottle has a nice spray function with a locking and unlocking tab which is great for travel. This Densifying spray feels and acts to me like a sea salt spray. While wet, this product is slightly tacky and once dried, feels like the hair has a gritty almost texture to it. This threw me off a bit as the Redken products are usually soft and clean feeling to me. I am excited to see the after affects after use over time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this Redken four step system for thin or flat hair is PERFECT for me. Not only is my hair thin and flat, it is also damaged from tons of dye and a little bleaching in the last year. It’s been rough on my hair for sure.
So far, the main thing I have noticed is how GORGEOUS my hair looks after using this system and then blow drying and styling it! I will also update the review with pics of my hair when I do that as well.
I believe my hair has become stronger, but as I said, it’s still too soon to tell how well it is working. But so far, I love the ease of use of the system and the ingredients! Azelaic acid in haircare?! Yes, please!

This spray is amazing if you want immediate results. Right after using it, my hair looks noticeably fuller and has more body, especially at the roots. The best part is that it doesn’t make my hair feel stiff, crunchy or sticky like a lot of volumizing products do. My hair still feels soft and natural, just with more volume. The scent is not overwhelming which I appreciate.
I like using it before blow-drying, but even on dry hair it gives a nice boost. It’s perfect for those days when your hair just feels flat and needs a quick fix.
It doesn’t leave a buildup, doesn’t flake and is easy to wash off.

My favorite acidic grow product

The locking mechanism on the bottle is useful for making sure it doesn't spray when you're traveling and I don't think I've ever seen another hair product with a little toggle to lock the lever, so I thought that was pretty cool. I feel like this product, which happens to be step 4, is the only one that makes a noticeable difference in my hair. I could do without the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. In fact, I've used this densifying spray after using regular shampoo instead of the rest of the Acidic Grow line and still had good results.

Kinda slimy

Nice size bottle with a closing mechanism so it won’t spray out into your shower bag at college or when going on vacation. It dries super fast but the consistency was kind of slimy. It has a pleasant clean scent. The instructions weren’t very clear but I assumed that you spray it on your roots and rub in the help strengthen your hair and promote growth. I didn’t see any visible results after two weeks of use every single day. It left my hair a little crunchy.. my hair density didn’t seem to change. Great value but wouldn’t purchase.

Length and volume

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The acidic grow full product line has really helped grow my hair along with making more volume for me. I typically have very thin hair and it is very hard to give it any movement. While using instant densifying spray I was able to achieve a little bit more length and a little bit more volume. Simple to use after the shower and doesn't dry out my scalp like some products. Spray nozzle held up well, I ended up wiping it off after use but it only took me a second to make sure there was no buildup on the nozzle. A nice fine mist helps to make even distribution of the product in my hair. Definitely a good system.

I was pleasantly surprised how great this densifying spray is. It gives you a really nice lift. I usually use this as the last step of my Redken routine. After shampooing and condition i get the serum worked in and then go spray happe all over my hair. It makes them feel really nice and full as well as smell nice. Unfortunately it doesnt smell as delicious as the shampoo but it will do! Love it! Just makes sure to spray not to close to your head though otherwise your hair will just feel crusty. Put some distance between your hair and spray.

My hair felt soft and manageable. Drying time was average to normal drying time of my hair since I applied it to my wet hair. I feel this is very great quality and and sprayed evenly where I wanted it to. The direct nozzle makes it easy to apply exactly where you want it. I am very satisfied with this product.

This bottle comes in a plastic bottle with a squeeze handle.
This product does hold your hair and makes it crunchy and stiff.
For better use I spray it closer to my scalp and work it into the scalp and top of the head only while my hair is wet.
It does not have a scent, at least not to me.
This works well as far as I can tell. Pair it with the rest of the hair system.
It does not dry out my scalp or cause any irritation.
I give this 5 out 5 stars.
I recommend this product.

Adds volume, but dirty hair feel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very curious about this product, but was interested to know that my hair felt very sticky when using it following the shampoo and conditioner in the system it almost felt like I put in a texturizing spray at my roots. It made it very hard for me to run my fingers through my hair and felt dirty at the end of the day as if I had to wash it even though I just washed it with the full system. I’m not sure if I would label it as an identifying spray, but it definitely feels more like a root lifting spray. I thought by the packaging it was meant to be more of a hair growth product but in this case it’s just to make the hair look fuller which it does, but the hair feel is a little uncomfortable.

Noticeable Fullness

Almost immediately I noticed more fullness in my hair and I love this densifying spray along side the other products in the system. I love that this doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy, sticky or heavy but it still gives me that lift that I need. I love that. It is actually helping. Strengthen my hair overtime not just masking how thin it is. The scent is pleasant I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite but that’s not very important to me as long as the product works. I will say it’s not overly strong or overpowering because I do tend to get migraines from heavy sense that is not the case with this.

It combed through nicely and did not leave my hair feeling sticky or weighed down. I like that it is a heat protectant as well. My hair does look and feel fuller since starting the system, I even notice it feels thicker when wet. My scalp did feel a little tender but adjusted after the first couple days. What I really noticed is that my hair is not as oily on the second day which is a major win as I tend to shower daily due to oily hair. All products have a lemon herbal scent.

The Instant Densifying Spray gives my hair that immediate fuller look without feeling sticky or stiff, which is huge for my fine/thinning hair days. I spray it at the roots and through the lengths before styling, and it instantly makes my hair look thicker and more alive, not weighed down. I have natural, long, thin hair with oily roots and dry ends. In 90% when I try new sprays serums or other leave-in products- my roots look greasy and feel heavy!
I experienced bad hair loss recently - I need to help my hair.
I use this densifying spray after Shampoo, conditioner, serum from the same Redken System. I just spray it on my damp hair after serum and use hairdryer as usual.
Watch my video - this is the proof- how soft and light my oily roots feel after BOTH leave in products from this system. I’m impressed!!! Will continue to use this spray for my hair. Hope it’ll help with growing new beautiful hair.

The formula is pH balanced with azelaic acid and 5% densifying complex. The Redken Spray helps my scalp feel more balanced and hydrated. Liking the hair system

With its lightweight formula, it doesn't weigh down or make my hair greasy. I use it after cleansing my scalp, sometimes before styling. But after 2 weeks of use, my hair loss has significantly decreased compared to regular shampoos. I think this is thanks to the product's ingredients, which nourish the scalp and create a good environment for my hair to grow.
Regarding the scent: It's quite pleasant and not strongly chemical-smelling.
Detangling ability: My hair doesn't detangle.
My advice is to use the complete product line, be patient, and wait at least 2 weeks to see the changes I experienced.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spritzed this on after using the shampoo and conditioner that’s part of this same line, after my hairs towel dried but still damp. My first use I didn’t realize there was a childlock so I sat there trying to spray it awhile till I realized. It comes out more as a stream than a mist in my opinion. I have to be mindful where exactly I have the nozzle pointing to make sure it gets on my roots. I don’t use much, just a couple sprays. Then I work it around with my fingers. If I could be bothered I’d use a wide tooth comb, I did that the first time but honestly I just brush it with my normal Wet brush. When my hair fully dries, it’s not stiff or obvious product is there. It makes my hair look healthy. Quick and easy, this will be part of my hair routine now!

Confusing instructions

I used it after washing my hair one night and the next day my hair felt very hard and kind of crunchy. I do like the spray of the product because it did spray really well. And the scent is very nice. But I just feel the product lacked good detail of instructions which made it kind of hard to figure out if this was the product to use as a serum or just a product to use as like hairspray.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m always very hesitant to spray any products on my roots because I have very fine hair and it easily gets greasy. But after using the entire Acidic growth system, my hair felt thicker and more volumized, and I actually feel like I could go longer between washes!! It’s so hard to find products that don’t leave me greasy. I use the full line - shampoo, conditioner, serum, then spray, and am seeing beautiful results. Healthier and thicker hair. Love the light fragrance of the line too.

Doesn’t seem to help

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This densifying spray hasn’t met the mark for me yet. I want to love it so bad! When I spray it on my scalp, it doesn’t spray evenly. This leaves me with sticky, thick spots. Maybe my bottle just has a sprayer problem.. I’m not sure. This product feels too heavy for my fine hair, which prevents me from having volume. My hair feels weighed down when using this product. The smell is fine, and I haven’t noticed any reactions in my scalp. I will keep using this to hopefully get success!

Lightweight, but Underwhelming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this spray because it is lightweight and non-greasy, but I didn’t see much of a difference as far as adding volume to my hair or reducing thinning hair long-term. I don’t think this is that much better than other similar products on the market. Also, since this is 1 of 4 steps in the Redken Acidic Grow Full System, I must add that the entire 4-step “system” is far too many products for me to utilize. I would prefer one, single product to add to my existing hair-care routine.

Boost for thin flat hair
