Wising For A Shamp-ion!

The shampoo is small, only 10oz, with a super thin flimsy flip cap that was nearly impossible to open while wet in the shower. I push cap or pump is definitely preferred. The shampoo is clear gel with a light, almost chemically fragrance. It cleaned well as a shampoo, but I didn’t notice any texture change from it…just a nice clean. I don’t know what I was expecting…maybe a tingling sensation perhaps? Nope. Just clean. So no real miracles. It could possibly do something with longterm, consistent use; however, at the price point, for me, I’d only reserve for special occasions. It’s a nice, luxury shampoo though.

The worst shampoo I've tried!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Redken's Acidic Grow Shampoo smells like my childhood dentist's office. I could get over the unpleasant scent if this shampoo performed well, but my experience hasn't been a good one. This shampoo makes my hair feel so tangled, unmanageable, and grubby - even after washing twice. I've even tried brushing and sectioning my hair before getting into the shower, but it doesn't help. I've never had this problem with any other shampoo. Once my hair is dry, it doesn't look any thicker. To make matters worse, I've experienced a bunch of breakage when brushing out all the snarls caused by this shampoo, so my hair probably looks worse than it did before I started using it.

Smells fresh and citrusy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impressions was how good this shampoo smells, like a fresh citrusy scent that lingers after rinsing! I have thin/fine hair, that’s down to the middle of my back. I also have an oily scalp that somehow gets dry and itchy in certain spots. Finding a product that not only helps with growth and fullness, but also with scalp health, and actually works, wasn’t easy, so I was so happy to find this one! I’ve only been using it for two weeks now, but my hair feels and looks soft and healthy and my scalp isn’t dry and itchy anymore. I can’t wait to see how my hair and scalp will look and feel after longer use!

This product comes in a small plastic bottle.
With a unique top, that looks like it for easy pour.
The smell of it is not appealing but it does not leave residue and seems to be working well. Paired with the other products in the hair growth system.
I give this 5 out of 5 stars because one one key feature I noticed.
The bottles have Brielle on the back for Inclusion, and to tell which is shampoo and which is conditioner. Which is something that I commend them on.
I recommend this product.

I can say this one is honestly one of the best I’ve used for my type of hair. My hair is very thin and needs a lot of help, especially in my crown area. This shampoo added life, thickness, and made it more manageable. The formula felt lite, yet effective. There are two things I would change. The first being I feel like the shampoo comes out really fast and maybe makes you use a little more than you actually need. Another is the scent, I wish it had more of a salon/spa scent. It has a generic shampoo scent if you ask me. Overall though would totally recommend!

The shampoo has a great clean masculine smell and leave my hair clean without feeling stripped of natural oils. Prior to using this product my scalp was getting itchy from all the other products I was trying to give my hair volume. With this shampoo my hair feels super healthy, voluminous and not itchy at all. Totally recommend for my thin haired girlies that have a lot of hair falling. My hair fall out has greatly reduced and I have so much new hair growing.

It smells really fresh without being overpowering, which I love, and it makes my hair feel super clean after each wash.
It also lathers nicely, so you don’t need a ton of product to get a good wash. My hair feels soft and looks healthier overall since I started using it. After a week of use, I could clearly see a reduction in hair loss, and my hair was more manageable and healthier.
The product has a citrus scent. This makes me feel very comfortable using it, giving me a very relaxing and refreshing feeling. The scent lasts all day and is very subtle.

Great clean feeling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been camping so my hair was like 6 days out from its last wash when I used this shampoo. It did an amazing job cutting the oil and grease. My hair felt on the drier side while my hair was still wet. But once it dried, my hair doesn’t necessarily feel sleek and soft, but clean and with some texture. The photo is day 2 (I washed with this the day before). This shampoo is more of a gel consistency, it’s clear. Lathers up very well and easy to rinse out. I love the convenient size, it’s great for traveling. I look forward to continuing to use this! My hair feels and looks healthy.

Doesn’t Dry Out My Hair and Scalp

I love how well the shampoo cleans my hair without drying out my scalp. Since I do have fine, thin hair I do wash my hair more often so a drying shampoo would be out of the question for me. On the flipside this did not make my hair greasy either. It just was the perfect clean feeling. The scent is a clean fresh scent. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite scent, but it’s pleasant and not overpowering. The best part of this entire system is that it really does work and that’s what’s most important for me.

The shampoo is thick and lathers beautifully. It makes my hair feel so clean but not stripped. No dryness and my hair feels healthy. The shampoo has a very nice floral scent that smells nice and isn’t overpowering. I only apply to the scalp, lather it up and let the residue rinse down the ends, then repeat and follow with matching conditioner. I saw much more volume in my fine hair and absolutely love how this system made my hair feel.

Adds Considerable Volume At The Roots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken Acidic Shampoo is an ideal option for flat, limp, thinning, and damaged hair. My hair feels extremely clean, light and flowy. There is a definite increase to volume. It did not however provide a deep level of moisture that you would get out of a ‘moisturizing’ shampoo for dry hair. I have combo hair. My regrowth is fine and thin, and this adds a wonderful level of bounce. The lower half of my hair requires a bit of extra moisture. Since I normally wash my scalp 2x more often than the rest of my hair, this is ideal for my current hair condition to give me the added volume and strengthening that I so badly need. It has a pleasant refreshing ocean smell. I would put this Redken shampoo into my preferred category!

I haven’t done much research into why exactly azelaic acid is in the products, but I do LOVE it on my face and skin so I’m sure it is doing good things for my hair as well!
Redken is a brand I’ve always trusted to make quality products, and this system is no different! I will update with more hair photos when I’ve had the chance to use it a bit longer, but so far, I highly recommend it!

This product, and its full system, is supposed to provide the look of fuller hair. I do like that my scalp is very soft after using this shampoo. However, I haven’t noticed much difference in the appearance of my hair. The smell is similar to typical Redken products, but gives off more of a chemical scent in my opinion. I like the simplicity of the push open/close cap, making it easy to access while in the shower. I will continue to use this product, but so far I’m not too impressed.

My hair detangles easily and is left feeling silky smooth while still having body. Everything in this system works well but they all work best when used together. My hair and scalp feel nourished and healthy when using the full system. The scent isn’t going to be a favorite if you’re wanting a long lasting perfume scent. The entire system has a tea tree oil and rosemary base scent with hints of citrus. It’s smells fresh, clean and like a salon but not a perfume long lasting scent.

Waiting to see change

Visibly thicker hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bee using the whole line of shampoo, conditioner, scalp serum, and densifying spray and it definitely adds volume to your hair. I have very fine, thinning hair and while this line did not prevent shedding like my usual routine, it seems to add density to strands and prevents breakage. The shampoo and conditioner both have a light lemony scent which I actually like because it’s not overpowering. The shampoo has a nice lather to it and cleans well, it does not dry out my scalp at all. Together the line made a visible difference in the thickness of my ponytail. I would recommend it to anyone with fine hair that wants to boost the volume, length, and strength of their hair but not necessarily someone with extensive shedding or loss.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Add volume with just one wash! Immediate results after the first wash. Hair feels more full after use. Without added products, hair can be a little frizzy after washing, but with added products, the volume is manageable and apparent. Hoping that after long term use I will notice long term changes. The smell is light and earthy, leans a little masculine, but not overpowering. The packaging is terrible. The lids are the worst lids I’ve dealt with in a long time. I have broken both thumb nails and cut my timber trying to open the lids. At least we know they seal well, but no bodily harm should be caused by shampoo! I had to pour the shampoo into reusable bottles in order to continue use. I will only get this shampoo again in refill bottles. Never again with these lids!

It has a slight citrus smell but not too overpowering. Lathered ok and spread easily through my course hair. Left my hair feeling clean. I didn’t see any density change in my hair after two weeks of use. The bottle is thick and won’t break if you drop it. However, the price tag is too hefty for me to maintain using this product on a full time basis. I did like it but I think my age is playing a factor here and my hair not savable. Quite sad because I really wanted to love this. After two week of using every day I have a little over a quarter bottle left and my hair is halfway down my back but is very thin and fragile. Would recommend but wouldn’t purchase!

Salon-quality shampoo

I’ve been using this shampoo for a few weeks now I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. I usually struggle to find a shampoo that cleans my hair properly without making it feel dry or stripped, but this one doesn’t do either. It leaves your hair hydrated and bouncy. My hair feels really clean after washing, but still soft and healthy, not tangled or rough.
What I noticed the most is how my hair looks at the roots. It actually feels like I have more volume and fullness, especially when I style it. It also gives a stronger hair feeling and I’ve noticed less breakage when brushing. The texture is nice, it lathers well, and you don’t need a lot of product, which is always a plus. The scent is soothing, light and not overpowering at all.

Lathers up beautifully

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this full system, including the shampoo. The shampoo lathers up really nicely, even with just a tiny dime sized amount for my long hair. I have been doing two washes, followed by one conditioner in the entire system, and my hair dries very nicely with her without blow drying. It is shiny and feels moisturized, but I am now able to go a couple days between washes, especially if I blow dry. Overall, really happy with this new Redken product. I received this free for testing.

Lightweight clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thin, oily, flat hair, so finding a shampoo that cleans well without weighing everything down is important to me. This shampoo has a clear gel texture that lathers easily and spreads nicely through my hair. A little goes a long way. It leaves my scalp feeling clean and refreshed without feeling stripped. I also love that the entire system has the same fresh citrus scent that feels bright and clean. After rinsing, my hair feels light, soft and ready for the rest of the routine.

Excellent Well Made Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be blunt, the name could use some work because on first sight, it doesn’t sound great to see something say acidic. But that aside. This shampoo especially with the conditioner in this line are phenomenal. My scalp and hair felt very healthy over the course of a month of use. Redken has some of the best caps in the game so I felt like I controlled the amount I was depositing in my hand. Overall, while I can’t say it gave me full hair, I can say it’s given my really nice hair!

This could not have come at a better time. With all the stress that life has been putting me through, my hair started to fall out. After using it for a while now, I do see a difference. It checks all the marks for me, cleans efficiently, controls frizz, lathers great. My hair is left shiny and manageable. Would definitely recommend giving this line a shot.
