Confusing Appearance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first took the cap off, the spray head immediately fell off. Not a great first impression of a product. However, it was easy to put back on, and still functioned correctly after doing so. The presentation of the product is a little confusing - if I weren't paying attention, the design of the product means I could easily mistake it for hairspray instead of a heat protectant. That being said, the product itself is fantastic. I have fine hair, and the mist is light enough that it doesn't weigh my hair down. On top of this, the scent is pleasant. I've also noticed a significant decrease in frizz/fly-aways. No complaints there!

Smoothing Protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken Smooth Spray was given to me from BzzAgent to sample for my opinion. I loved using the spray as it performs well, protecting my hair form the heat I constantly use. I blow dry and straighten. My hair looks smooth and ready for the day after styling. It helps keep hair with less frizz and flyaways. It does all this without being greasy or heavy.
The scent of the product is nice making it pleasant to use. It also provides a nice shine along with the smoothing. I have had some great hair days since using this spray and will continue to use this. I definitely recommend to those that use heat to style.

Mixed Results !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a hard time dealing with poofy/frizzy hair because of the humidity. As soon as I walk outside my hair immediately grows horizontally and not in a good way. I found that this Redkin Spray Smooth really helps with this problem. I blow dry my hair a lot which also leads to frizz. I like how this product is a heat protectant as well, so I don't have to use multiple products on my hair. I also have thin hair, so products can weigh it down pretty easily. But this product didn't weigh it down at all. It left my hair very soft and silky looking. I'm excited to use it again especially with the rainy weather we've been having. Overall I definitely would recommend giving this smoothing spray a shot!

Good but requires a light touch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have naturally pretty shiny hair - but it is also very fine, so I tend to get a lot of flyaway. Spray Smooth worked great for that! I also love anything with heat protection. However - you need a light touch. It is a superfine/mist type spray - so you can go overboard with it and end up with a bit of an oily look. Smell wise- it's fine. It smells like any other hairspray type aerosol. It is a bit more than a sleek-look product, but not as much as a lightweight hairspray (it wont hold a shape) - but if you are looking for a flyaway tamer specifically - this should do the trick.

Smooth and lovely

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with the way this spray performs. I think it delivers a great spray from the nozzle and it smells lovely. I love that it's a heat protectant and after blow drying I can tell a significant difference in my hairs smoothness and shine. My hair feels fresh and light after. However, it does not work as well on my frizz as I would have liked it too, hence the 4 stars. I still have a significant amount of frizz unfortunately. That being said, I have thick frizzy hair and few products work on my frizz, so I will still be using this because my hair truly feels lovely with it.

Love using this product as part of my curly hair r

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried a lot of products to try to help my curly hair be a little bit less frizzy, and although gels & creams have helped to define the curls, they haven't really helped much with frizz. I wasn't sure about this product, since it's not specifically for curls, but it works AMAZINGLY! I put it on damp hair in addition to my curl cream (and after applying curl gel to soaking wet hair), and I've noticed a real difference to my curls. It's super easy to spray on, and I like that it feels light-weight. A lot of the examples on the website show people straightening their hair while using this, but you can definitely use this product on curls as well. I would definitely recommend this product based on my experience!

Smooth, frizz-free hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This anti-frizz spray with heat protection is just what I needed for my daily hair routine. I use a blow dryer and flatiron daily and even though I have been using a basic heat protection spray, I still experience frizz. This Redken Spray Smooth sprays out quickly and evenly without having to use a lot of it, and it has a nice scent that isn't overpowering leaving my hair smelling nice afterwards. I simply spray it on my damp hair and then blow dry and straighten my hair as usual. It doesn't weigh my hair down like others do and it actually tames frizz for 24 hours. I also love that it's free of parabens, sulfates, and silicones. My hair looks great afterwards and is frizz free and silky. I highly recommend it.

My hair is straight and when dried its frizzy. Even after running a straightener through it i have little pieces that stick out pretty much all over. I first didnt read the directions and used it after drying and straightening my hair... Sprayed, brushed through and like magic, my hair looked fabulously silky and smooth. Since then, ive read the directions and used on towel dried hair before drying and straightening and am honestly mind blown. My hair looks incredible. AND its also a heat protector?!

I did not know what my hair routine was missing until I tried this stuff...it makes my hair so smooth, shiny, and healthy looking! I am amazed by how well it really works for me. First of all it smells wonderful, not like the others I tried. It does protect my hair from all that heat of straightening irons and styling products like that. Just spray a bit like a mist , crunch up your hair with hands and your ready to go without any frizz. Also has a nice silky finish to it.

Heat protection is also always important as I normally use my heat tools at their highest temperature. This redken smooth spray did not dissapoint. Usually when a product tames the frizz and leaves some shine, you have to be careful because it weighs the hair down and can leave it greasy. This product didn't do that. It worked well without being heavy or greasy. It also smells really good which is another plus. It left our hair nicely smoothed and it had a nice shine. I love how it sprays out of the bottle; it's mist but it has a direct path forward and shoots the mist out. It has a nice scent to it as well- smells like a salon. I have thick wavy course East Indian hair that I style into a class smooth bob. My hair all tends to frizz out with humidity. I have tried a few other product that have been adequate.

I have wavy, color treated hair that sometimes gets a bit frizzy depending on the humidity or how committed I am to blowing out my hair. This spray did a great job of completely eliminating my frizz without weighing my hair down. To use it, I rough dried my hair to about 50%, then followed the directions for spraying, sectioned off my hair and dried it with a round brush. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Every time I'll add more product but I'm worried it will be too much and I'll need to start over again.
I'm used to smoothing sprays to be applied after the hair has been dried like a serum but this recommends while damp.
I do however like the packaging and the size amount.
I just don't think this product is for me.

Smooths and tames frizz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed by how smooth and frizz-free this made my hair. Since it's an aerosol, it doesn't take much to coat your hair. It's currently Spring, so I'm not sure how well this will hold up to a day of humid hot weather, but I think it's promising. This gave me a really nice, effortless blowout. I'd say it's comparable to more expensive products, but you need to use it every time you style, which some other products you don't.

I have had so many compliments. 7-8 inches spray before I flat iron my hair and after it's so smooth and shinning. Though I don't have a major amount of frizz, the sheen and overall way it smoothed my hair was definitely noticeable. I love how this also serves as a detangler and heat protectant! It comes in an aerosol spray bottle which isn't a dealbreaker— I still like it. However, I think I might love a non-aerosol spray version.

Great smoothing, not so great sensitive scalp

However I am prone to scalp irritation and buildup for some styling products, and this definitely caused my scalp to feel itchy and irritated after the first day. I would not use this product for a multi-day blow-out style. However for a single day style, it does a great job.

I purchased this product because this is what my hairdresser recommended and she uses it on me. I followed the directions and it didn’t do a thing to make my hair look better. If anything it looked frizzier and not as smooth as the product I currently use. I’ve been using redken hair care and shampoo for years and have always loved it. They missed the mark with this product.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Smooth and silky!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have super fine hair and am always leery trying a new product - often they're too heavy and weigh down my hair! This was very light but effective, has a nice smell (not too overpowering) and my hair was smooth and silky between washes. I didn't notice any kind of residue on my scalp thru my ends. This is a great product to fight off frizz! Will come in handy in the summer.
